    摘要: Systems, methods, and devices for acknowledging communications from a plurality of wireless devices in a wireless network are described herein. In some embodiments, an access point for the wireless network transmits a group acknowledgment (ACK) to indicate whether communications (packets) from the plurality of wireless devices have been received or correctly decoded within some time interval. Each wireless device may have a different time interval associated with it. For some embodiments, the time interval for a wireless device is relative to when a previous group ACK was sent. A group ACK may include a bitmap. In some embodiments, the bitmap indicating whether a communication has been received or correctly decoded may be transmitted as part of a beacon.

    摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for efficiently managing overloaded group IDs for groups of stations (STAs) receiving simultaneous transmission in a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) scheme. In this manner, overloading for some of the groups may allow flexibility at an access point (AP) to trade off between support for more STA combinations and power savings. As disclosed herein, the group ID management scheme may be flexible enough to support APs with both overloaded and non-overloaded groups and APs with only non-overloaded groups. This scheme also achieves these benefits for overloading with a low overhead.

One example method generally includes transmitting, from a first apparatus to a second apparatus, a message requesting assignment of a group ID identifying a group of apparatuses for receiving MU transmissions; and receiving, from the second apparatus, an indication of the assigned group ID, such that spatial stream assignments for the group of apparatuses are the same between the first and second apparatuses, the spatial stream assignments corresponding to the assigned group ID.
