摘要： A method and apparatus for providing an MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service) service to user equipments (UEs) that desire to receive the MBMS service, in a code division multiple access (CDMA) mobile communication system including a plurality of radio network controllers (RNCs), a plurality of SGSNs (Serving GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) Supporting Nodes) connected to each of the RNCs, and a plurality of the UEs wirelessly connectable to the RNCs, and providing the MBMS service to the UEs. The UEs request a desired MBMS service, and receive an MBMS service provided in response to the request. The RNCs transmit data related to the MBSM service to UEs wirelessly connected to thereto among UEs that requested the service. The SGSNs control a procedure related to the MBMS service for the UEs that requested the service. A default SGSN is individually designated for the MBMS service, and the default SGSN transmits MBMS data for the given MBMS service to UEs that requested the given MBMS service, through the RNCs.

摘要： The present invention proposes a method of making use of Cell Broadcast to support MBMS transfer service announcement or service notification transfer. The method of transferring service announcement comprises the following steps: CBC commands UTRAN connected with it by a signaling message to send service announcement; UTRAN arranges the prescribed time of sending MBMS service announcement message, adds the brief description information to the schedule message and sends the schedule message; after receiving the schedule message, UE configures physical layer thereof to prepare for receiving MBMS service announcement message. UTARN sends MBMS service announcement message at the prescribed time.

摘要： A method for selecting a cell by a user equipment (UE) to receive a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) service in a mobile communication system which supports the MBMS service with different frequency allocations (FAs) in the same area. In the method, a radio network controller (RNC) transmits information on an MBMS cell to the UE, and the MBMS cell information includes an MBMS offset for guaranteeing priority for cell reselection to the MBMS cell. The UE performs cell reselection using the MBMS cell information and receives the MBMS service from the reselected cell.

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting packet data over an uplink channel in a mobile communication system in which retransmission of a packet is possible using a hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) technique. A base station receives a packet data unit (PDU) from a terminal and determines whether the base station can calculate a retransmission number (RSN) indicating the number of retransmissions for the PDU. If the base station cannot calculate the RSN for the PDU, the base station sets the RSN to a special value indicating that the number of retransmissions for the PDU is unknown, and transmits the set RSN to a serving radio network controller (SRNC) along with the PDU.

摘要： A cell reselection method by a user equipment (UE) receiving an MBMS service in a serving cell of a mobile communication system. The UE receives control data of the serving cell, including configuration information necessary for accessing MBMS control channels (MCCHs) of neighbor cells and control information necessary for accessing an MBMS data transport channel (MTCH) of the serving cell, over an MCCH of the serving cell, and stores the received control data, while the MBMS service is provided in the serving cell. If cell reselection to a target cell, which is one of the neighbor cells is determined, the UE moves to the target cell by utilizing configuration information stored for the target cell.

摘要： Disclosed is a mobile telecommunication system in which packet data is transmitted over an uplink, and particularly a method and an apparatus for transmitting control information from a UE to a Node B. By multiplexing, several upper layer data units and MAC layer control information are included in a packet which the UE transmits during one transmission period in the uplink. A header of the packet accommodates multiplexing information, and thus the Node B uses the multiplexing information for demultiplexing upper layer data units from the packet. When the packet accommodates only the MAC layer control information, the UE does not insert the header into the packet, thereby reducing the packet size. The Node B then determines whether the packet includes only the control information or the upper layer data units together with the header.

摘要： A method and an apparatus are disclosed for applying frequency layer convergence (FLC) to connected mode user equipments (UE) having no dedicated channel for a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) service in a mobile communication system employing a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) scheme. The method and apparatus prevent uplink signaling congestion which may occur when the UEs located in non preferred frequency layers (NPL) of the MBMS service move to a preferred frequency layers (PL) when a MBMS service session starts. If the MBMS service session starts in a situation of applying the FLC, a radio network controller (RNC) notifies the UEs desiring to receive the MBMS service and located in NPLs for the MBMS service of FLC information including a PF value and a timer value, with reference to the number of the NPL UEs joining the MBMS service. The UEs performs a PF test according to the PF and timer values, thereby maintaining the degree of congestion and signal transmission load at appropriate levels.

摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for reducing excessive retransmission delays which may occur due to the loss of the last packet of a transmission buffer in a Radio Link Control (RLC) layer of a mobile communication system. The method includes receiving a Service Data Unit (SDU) from a higher layer, dividing the SDU into a plurality of Packet Data Units (PDUs), and storing the PDUs in a buffer, setting a poll bit for a last PDU from among the PDUs stored in the buffer, the poll bit requesting a status report, and repeatedly transmitting the last PDU having the setup poll bit at least twice from a sender to a receiver, regardless of whether there is a request for retransmission of the last PDU.

The Node B receives, from a radio network controller (RNC), scheduling assistance information for an uplink service to be provided from the UE. The Node B estimates a data amount for the uplink service on the basis of the scheduling assistance information in each scheduling period. The Node B schedules data transmission for the uplink service according to the estimated data amount.

摘要： A method and apparatus for configuring a TFCS in a mobile communication system are provided. TrCH configuration information and TFCS configuration information are received in a TrCH establishment message from an RNC. A CTFC set including all possible combinations of TFs of different transport channels is calculated according to the TrCH configuration information. A determination is made as to whether the TFCS configuration information includes a TFC-CTFC auto mapping indicator. If the TFCS configuration information includes the TFC-CTFC auto mapping indicator, CTFCs included in the CTFC set are mapped to TFCs in a one-to-one correspondence.
