    摘要: A connector comprises a synthetic resin plug 11 fitted to an opening portion 1a of a container 1 that stores a liquid, and a socket 13 for connection to the plug 11. The plug 11 comprises, a lid body 14 secured in a fluid tight manner to the opening portion 1a, a plug portion 16 provided on the lid body 14 and connectable to the socket 13, and a siphon tube 17 extending downward from a lower portion of the lid body 14 such that when the lid body 14 is secured to the opening portion 1a, a lower end is arranged near a bottom of the container 1. The siphon tube 17 comprises a tube integrally formed with the lid body 14. As a result, when the liquid inside the container 1 is drawn out, gas leakage from the siphon tube 17 can be reliably prevented, so that erroneous detection of an “empty” detection can be reliably prevented and the liquid completely used up.

    摘要: An electrophotographic developer and a process for forming an image are provided in that the fixing can be conducted at a lower temperature than the conventional technique, and that are excellent in the powder storage stability, the anti-blocking property and the image storage stability after fixing without impairing the density, the coloring property and the transparency of the image after fixing, and further have appropriate electric charging property without any problem of fogging or cloud with excellent maintenance property of electric charge. The electrophotographic developer contains a toner for developing an electrostatic image containing a coloring agent and a binder resin containing, as a main component, a crystalline resin having a melting point of about from 60 to 120° C., and a carrier having a resin film containing a nitrogen-containing resin on a surface thereof. The process for forming an image is carried out by using the electrophotographic developer.

    摘要: A waste water treatment method and apparatus uses microorganism-containing sludge to treat waste water containing fluorine and does not utilize any chemical reaction. For waste water treatment, a treatment tank has an anaerobic part having sludge containing microorganisms and an aerobic part having sludge containing microorganisms and communicating with the anaerobic part. Waste water to be treated and biological excess sludge are introduced into the anaerobic part. Once treated by the microorganisms, the water is filtered by a membranous separation device in the aerobic part, and output as treated water. In the treatment tank, the microorganisms are moved between the anaerobic part and aerobic part to enhance their ability to concentrate or accumulate therein fluorine or other substances contained in the waste water.

    摘要: An image forming method wherein a developer layer formed by a layer forming material and supported on a developer supporting body is used to develop an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image supporting body, thereby forming an image. In the method, the direction of rotation of the developer supporting body is the same as that of the electrostatic latent image supporting body, the ratio of peripheral speed of the developer supporting body to the electrostatic latent image supporting body ranges from 0.7 to 1.8, the developer is composed of a carrier and a toner, and the toner contains a conductive inorganic fine powder. The method is useful for making an amount of static electrification of the toner suitable and stabilizing the same.

    摘要: A detailed genetic map on human chromosome 11 was prepared. Then, a commonly deleted region on the chromosome in the tumor tissues of patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 was identified. Further, by linkage analysis on a family line with this disease, a gene causative of this disease was localized. A gene present in the region common to these observations was cloned and the structure of this gene was determined. Because a protein coded by this DNA is homologous with those of transcriptional factors, it is expected that the above-mentioned gene may be a novel tumor suppressor gene. Further, it is also expected that the above-mentioned gene and a protein coded for thereby may be useful in preparation of a remedy for cancer and a diagnostic drug for cancer.
