摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a multi-beam scanning optical system, which can reduce relative deviation of a writing position of each light-emitting portion due to focus deviation of a synchronization detection optical device, and an image forming apparatus using the same. In the multi-beam scanning optical system having the synchronization detection optical device including a light source device, an incident optical device, a deflection device, a scanning optical device and a slit, each element is set such that relative deviation of a writing position of each light beam due to deviation of a focus position within a main scanning cross section is reduced by a first light beam limiting element provided between the deflection device and the slit and a conditional expression is satisfied.

摘要: It is an object of this invention to provide a light scanning device capable of suppressing scanning line bending to a low level, which is caused by the arrangement error of a single-element lens serving as an imaging optical element, and an image forming apparatus using the device. In order to achieve the object, according to this invention, an imaging optical system is formed from a single-element lens, and the sectional shapes of the incident and exit surfaces in the main scanning direction are non-arcuated, and the power in the sub scanning direction substantially concentrates on the exit surface. The non-arcuated shape (curvature) of the exit surface in the main scanning direction is so determined as to make the magnification in the sub scanning direction uniform.

摘要: An optical scanning apparatus includes a light source, a deflector with a deflecting/reflecting surface which deflects an incident light beam from the light source, an imaging optical system including at least one scanning optical element for leading the light beam deflected by the deflector onto a surface to be scanned and forming an image as a spot on the surface to be scanned and, a synchronization detector for obtaining a scanning start position signal with respect to a main scanning direction on the surface to be scanned. The scanning optical element is provided with a light-beam passage for allowing a light beam traveling toward the synchronization detector to pass through. The light-beam passage is provided in an inner portion of the scanning optical element located outside an effective portion of the scanning optical element.

摘要: A light scanner in which, when forming an image on a scan surface by a scanning optical device through a deflector using light from a light source device, the scanning optical device includes first an second f&thgr; lenses. The first f&thgr; lens is a meniscus positive lens whose concave surface faces the deflector within a main scanning cross-sectional plane. The second f&thgr; lens is a meniscus lens whose convex surface faces the deflector within the main scanning cross-sectional plane. The shape of the second f&thgr; lens is such that the curvature from the optical axis thereof to both ends of a lens effective portion changes from convex to concave. The second f&thgr; lens is such that it is disposed closer to the deflector at both ends of the lens effective portion than at an apex thereof on the optical axis of the second f&thgr; lens. The invention provides a light scanner which porperly corrects curvature of field and distortion in a main scanning direction and curvature of field and magnification in a subscanning direction, and which is suitable for high-definition print using a compact structure.

摘要: An optical scanning apparatus includes an incidence optical system for causing a beam emitted from a light source to be incident on a deflector, and a scanning optical system for causing the beam reflected and deflected by the deflector to be imaged on a surface to be scanned. The scanning optical system has a first lens on the deflector side and a second lens on the surface to be scanned side. The first lens has positive power in the main scanning direction and has negative power in the sub scanning direction. The power of the first lens in the main scanning direction is greater than the power of the second lens in the main scanning direction, and the second lens has positive power in the sub scanning direction.

摘要: A zoom lens includes an aperture diaphragm, and a plurality of lens units including a negative lens unit arranged on a light incident side of the aperture diaphragm, the zoom lens being configured to make variable a focal length by changing an interval in the plurality of lens units. The negative lens unit includes a negative lens having a radial type refractive index distribution and a concave surface on the light incident side. The negative lens has a wavelength dispersion distribution in which a differential value is negative on an optical axis of the zoom lens, and the differential value increases at a position that is more distant from the optical axis.

摘要: A sensor device includes: one or more sensor elements each including first and second diode elements connected in series and a sensor driving section. The cathode of the second diode element is connected to the anode of the first diode element. The sensor driving section controls on-off state of the first diode element through changing a gate voltage under a fixed cathode voltage, and controls on-off state of the second diode element through changing a gate voltage under a fixed anode voltage. The sensor driving section drives the second diode element, maintaining a relationship of Vg2(off)
