Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for unmating an electrical connector assembly wherein the movement for unmating the first and second connectors is temporarily blocked after interlocking contacts are disconnected and before the power contacts are disconnected. The invention also relates to a connector system and a connector assembly offering such functions.
Abstract:
A process for the manufacture of 3-phytyl-2,5,6-trimethylhydroquinone-1-acetate, and optionally therefrom tocopheryl acetate, comprises either C-alkylating 2,3,6-trimethylhydroquinone-1-acetate with isophytol or phytol in the presence of a sulphur(VI) containing catalyst of the formula R1SO2OH, wherein R1 signifies hydroxy, halogen, lower alkyl, halogenated lower alkyl or aryl, in an aprotic organic solvent, or O-alkylating 2,3,6-trimethylhydroquinone-1-acetate with a phytyl halide in a polar aprotic organic solvent in the presence of a base, and subjecting the so-obtained 4-O-phytyl-2,3,6-trimethylhydro-quinone-1-acetate to a rearrangement reaction, and in each case optionally submitting the so-obtained 3-phytyl-2,5,6-trimethylhydroquinone-1-acetate to a ring closure reaction to produce tocopheryl acetate. The invention also includes the novel compound 3-phytyl-2,5,6-trimethylhydroquinone-1-acetate and certain stereoisomers thereof, and also the further novel compound 4-hydroxy-2,3,6-trimethyl-5-[3-(4,8,12-trimethyltridecyl)-but-3-enyl]phenyl acetate which itself is one of several isomers of 3-phytyl-2,5,6-trimethylhydroquinone-1-acetate formed by isomerization under the influence of heating, e.g. during its distillation as part of the isolation and purification procedure following its manufacture as indicated above. (All-rac)-α-tocopherol, which may be derived from its acetate, is known to be the most active industrially important member of the vitamin E group.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a connector (1) for flat flex cables (2), with a housing (3), in which is provided: at least one introduction opening (4) for one end of a flat flex cable, spring contacts (5) for connecting the at least one flat flex cable (2) with contacts (6) or with another flat flex cable (7) and at least one strain relief (8). The strain relief (8) has a slide (9), which is introduced into the introduction opening (4) above the flat flex cable (2), the flat flex cable (2) being bent by a rib (10) on slide (9) into a recess (11) in the bottom of introduction opening (4) until the slide (9) locks into its final position on housing (3).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a connector arrangement, between a flexible ribbon cable (1) and a component (5) of an electrical circuit, whereby the flexible ribbon cable (1) has a stripped conductor region on one side of the end for connection, comprising a housing (2) in which the flexible ribbon cable end is clamped and in which an elastic element (3) subjects the stripped end to pressure. The component (5) comprises a socket (4) for the housing (2), in which the housing (2) may be clipped and with contact strips (6) arranged therein against which the stripped regions of the flexible ribbon cable (1) are pressed, when the housing (2) is in the terminal position thereof within the socket (4).
Abstract:
An ophthalmological measuring system for determining distances and/or for tomographic imaging of ocular structures, based on an OCT method. The measuring system includes a light source with a spectral centroid (λ), an interferometric measuring device, a scanner system, which in addition to the lateral deflection of the sample beam also has axial modulations with a frequency (f) in the sample arm, and a control and evaluation unit. The scanner performs a lateral, two-dimensional deflection of the sample beam with the aid of one or even two separate mirror elements and can in particular have axial modulation amplitudes zM>>λ/2. The system can also be used for scanner systems in other fields that use an OCT method, in particular a swept-source OCT method.

Abstract:
An oil filter assembly has a bypass valve and a cover formed with an orifice. In order to provide a simple contamination indicator for the oil filter, there is provided a deflection device that deflects an oil jet emerging through the orifice when the bypass valve is open on the outside of the cover. The oil jet can thus be deflected into a region observable through a filling orifice. A contaminated oil filter can therefore be reliably detected on occasion of a quick visual check, by observing the deflected oil jet.
