摘要： A protective cushion or airbag for a vehicle occupant's head which can introduce gas into chambers simultaneously or with desired time lags among the chambers. A cushion comprises an occupant-side sheet and an body-side sheet which are superposed on each other and sewn together so as to form vacant chambers between the sheets. A cylindrical member is disposed between upper portions of the sheets. Gas supplied through a rear end of the cylindrical member is introduced into the chambers openings and a front end of the cylindrical member.

摘要： An amorphous electrochromic film prepared by vacuum evaporation under relatively high pressure of 2.times.10.sup.-4 -2.times.10.sup.-3 torr.The evaporated film is porous with packing density less than 0.65 and exhibits excellent reversibility after heat treatment at 250.degree. C.-350.degree. C. whereby it is optimum for an electrochromic device sealed with a sealant of tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer having no reactivity with electrolyte, low moisture permeability, excellent chemical properties and good adhesiveness.

摘要： An inflator includes in a combustion chamber a first gas generating charge and a second gas generating charge to be ignited and burned to generate an inflation gas. The second gas generating charge is slower in speed of combustion than the first gas generating charge. The inflator further includes a partition wall that segregates the first and second gas generating charges. The partition wall is located away from an ignition area of an ignition device that ignites the first gas generating charge, with the first gas generating charge located between itself and the ignition area. The partition wall is burnable to destruction by the fire generated by combustion of the first gas generating charge so as to permit propagation of the fire to the second gas generating charge by its generally entire area.

摘要： In a connector, a fixed member is configured to be fixed to a substrate. An insertion member is arranged separate from the fixed member and configured to be insertable into an insertion part of a mating connector. Pairs of contacts are arranged on side surfaces of the insertion part of the mating connector to connect the fixed member and the insertion member to each other. Each contact includes a first fixed part fixed to the fixed member, a second fixed part fixed to the insertion member, and a contact part to contact with a contact piece of the mating connector. A cross-sectional shape of a portion of each contact between the first fixed part and the second fixed part is such that the insertion member is displaceable relative to the fixed member in an arranging direction of the pair of contacts and a direction perpendicular to the arranging direction.
