    摘要: The present invention provides a technique for producing acetone in a high yield from hydrated ethanol derived from biomass, without requiring a large amount of energy. Hydrated ethanol derived from biomass is heated to a reaction temperature of 400° C. or higher in the presence of a Zr—Fe catalyst, thereby producing acetone. The reaction temperature is preferably from 450 to 550° C., and the Zr—Fe catalyst preferably contains 5 to 10% by mass of Zr. The present invention allows purification of hydrated acetone without requiring purification of the hydrated ethanol.

A peptide which specifically binds to a peptide at N-terminal domain of retroviral integrase was screened by phage display method, and as a result of the screening, a peptide being able to inhibit the infection and the proliferation of retroviruses such as HIV-1 before the reverse transcription reaction is obtained.

    摘要: Light-weight oil having a high octane number is produced from waste plastics containing phthalic polyester and/or polyvinyl chloride at a high yield without producing a phthalic sublimate or a carbonaceous residue by pyrolyzing the waste plastics in an atmosphere of steam or a steam/inert gas mixture. The resulting pyrolyzed oil and pyrolyzed gas may be catalytically cracked in an atmosphere of steam or a steam/inert gas mixture. Dechlorination may be performed before pyrolysis is carried out. Pyrolysis is preferably carried out in the presence of at least one of iron hydroxide, hydrous iron oxide and iron oxide.
