    摘要: This invention relates to a track setting method for a tracking servo system in an optical disk device and a device therefor. According to this invention the track passage velocity when the light spot moves across the track is detected and setting of the light spot onto the track is performed under the condition that the passage velocity thus detected is lower than a predetermined velocity. In the case where the passage velocity is greater than the predetermined velocity, the light spot is forced to move so that the passage velocity is lower than the predetermined velocity and the light spot is set up thereafter.

    摘要: An optical information processor including a recording medium with a guide groove having interrupting portions therealong in the form of mirror areas for reflecting light impinging on the recording medium. A light detector is provided for receiving diffraction light from the guide groove with a first signal detector being provided for differentially operating on signals from the light detector and generating a tracking signal tracking the guide groove. Additionally, a second signal detector is provided for detecting the signal from the light detector indicative of the mirror areas and providing an output indicative thereof which is utilized for compensating the tracking signal. The compensated tracking signal is then utilized for controlling the positioning of the light beam on the recording medium.

    摘要: An optical information recording system in which predetermined information is recorded by a first laser light beam on a recording medium along a guiding groove previously formed in the recording medium. Second and third laser light beams are projected onto the recording medium at positions deviated from the center of the guiding groove and preceding and succeeding to the first laser beam. A pattern in which no mutual interference of information to be recorded by the first laser beam is present is detected from an information signal which modulates the intensity of the first laser light beam. A difference is determined between the quantity of light reflected upon illumination of the recorded pattern by the second laser beam chronographically succeeding to the first laser beam and the quantity of light reflected upon illumination by the third laser beam. The position of the first laser beam is controlled on the basis of the thus determined difference for effecting an information tracking operation with improved accuracy.

    摘要: A recording medium is provided with a recording film having opto-magnetic characteristics formed on the substrate, with first information being recorded in advance in the form of pit strings of a phase structure. Second information is recorded over the first information through the application of a magnetic field with polarities corresponding to the second information in the presence of the irradiation of a high-power radiation beam, without damaging the record of the first information. The first and second information are produced independently and simultaneously with a single spot in the same area by use of different signal reproduction mechanisms for the first information and second information. The first information (ROM information) is reproduced as the variation in the amount (intensity) of the reflected light from the opto-magnetic recording film, and the second information (RAM information) is reproduced by detecting the rotational angle of the reflected light, based on the Kerr effect, from the opto-magnetic film concurrently with the reproduction of the first information using a single spot.
