摘要: A process and apparatus for determining values of new pixels which are to be interpolated between original pixels of an image during magnification of the image. The interpolation is carried out in each unit area which is surrounded by original pixel centers. The process includes the following steps: a first step for detecting an angle of an original line image in a predetermined vicinity of the unit area by comparing values of a combination of original pixels in the predetermined vicinity of the unit area with each of a plurality of predetermined patterns of an arrangement of pixel values; a second step for selecting one of a plurality of predetermined modes of division of the unit area so that an angle of a dividing line which divides the unit area in the selected mode of division conforms to the angle detected in the first step; and a third step for determining a value of each of the new pixels by assigning a value which is determined based on the values of the original pixels in the vicinity to all of the new pixels the centers of which are in each section of the unit area which were generated by the mode of division selected in the second step.

摘要: A difference of coordinate values stored adjacent to each other is compressed by means of a statistical coding system when reading out outline font data storing coordinate values necessary for drawing a contour of a character in order of drawing the contour in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction and also a category of a line connecting a pair of coordinates simultaneously, followed by compressing the coordinate values of the outline font data. A value of a result of subtracting “A−1” from a difference of coordinate values is determined to be a difference value of coordinates if the difference of coordinate value is equal to or greater than a certain value A, and a code expressing the difference value of “0” is added in front of the codes of difference values that are smaller than the value A in the case of a category of line connecting adjacent coordinates to each other being a straight line.

摘要: An input of image data is received, and information of width and/or thickness of a recording medium, which receives an image representing the image data to be recorded thereon, is received. Then, a preset pressing pressure value, which is used when the image is recorded on the recording medium, is obtained based on the information of width and/or thickness, and information of image density in the reference area, which is a part of the image data, is obtained. Then, converted image density information is obtained by converting the information of image density in the reference area based on the pressing pressure value and the information of image density, and image data is generated according to the thus obtained converted image density information.

摘要: An inkjet printer includes an inkjet head configured to perform printing on a printing sheet by use of ink. The inkjet printer includes: a heater configured to heat the ink; a thermometer configured to measure the temperature of the ink; and a controller configured to control the amount of electric power to be supplied to the heater and to control the inkjet head. In a case where the measured value of the ink temperature measured by the thermometer is in a range of a first reference temperature inclusive to a second reference temperature exclusive, the controller calculates a coverage rate of a page to be printed, and accordingly changes the amount of electric power to be supplied to the heater depending on the coverage rate thus calculated.

摘要: A driving device includes an electromagnetic actuator indicating a first coil and a second coil which detects a change in magnetic flux generated by the first coil, and an electromagnetic actuator controller which feedback-controls the electromagnetic actuator. The electromagnetic actuator controller includes a modulator which gives a modulated signal, which is generated based on a target value in the feedback control, to the first coil, and a demodulator which demodulates an output signal from the second coil, and in which the target value is a target thrust of the electromagnetic actuator. The electromagnetic actuator controller includes a scale converter which performs a square-root arithmetic operation for the target value to feedback-control the electromagnetic actuator based on an output signal from the scale converter and a signal demodulated by the demodulator.

摘要: A printing apparatus is capable of forming images by overlappingly performing print processes for a plurality of colors with non-aqueous inks and an aqueous ink. When printing with the aqueous ink, it is possible to inhibit paper from being deformed and to realize a high density print process with a low see-through density. At least one of the plurality of colors is printed with a non-aqueous ink containing a water-insoluble solvent, and the remaining colors is printed with an aqueous ink containing a water-soluble solvent. The print process of the non-aqueous ink is performed in advance of the print process of the aqueous ink.

摘要: A stream data recording apparatus records stream data in such a manner that the head of each video coding unit and the head of a series of audio coding unit corresponding to each video coding unit contained in the stream data coincide with the heads of access units of a recording medium. Utilizing the structure of stream data so recorded and the random accessibility of the recording medium, a stream data replaying apparatus and a stream data editing apparatus replay or edit the stream data freely on a video coding unit basis. By replacing stream data recorded on the recording medium on a video coding unit basis, the recording apparatus realizes endless recording that does not require complex file manipulation.
