    摘要: The invention relates to a formulation comprising a dry material (e.g. lyophilised or spray dried) comprising at least one film forming surfactant and a gas or a gas mixture usable in diagnostic imaging, to a process for the preparation thereof and to a suspension obtainable by reconstituting said formulation with an aqueous carrier for use in contrast imaging. The invention also relates to a container comprising the dry material in contact with a gas. The gas associated with the dry material is at a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure.

The structures are typically made on a flat substrate, and therefore are only fixed at the bottom. At high aspect ratio, the stability can be poor since small forces such as electrostatic forces and van de Waals forces that are often present can alter the structure. The top coating of a metallic material such as titanium constrains the nanostructures at the top and at the same time eliminates electrostatic forces and reduces any thermal gradient that may be present across the device

    摘要: The present invention provides methods and systems for automated morphological analysis of cells. The inventive methods are particularly useful in the rapid analysis of cells required in a biological screen. Agents which cause a particular phenotype in the cells can be identified using the inventive quantitative morphometric analysis of cells. The data gathered using the inventive method can also be quantified and analyzed later for various trends and classifications. Characteristics of cells which can be determined using this method include number of nuclei, size of cell, size of nuclei, number of the centrosomes, shape of cells, size of centrosomes, perimeter of nucleus, shape of nucleus, pattern of staining, and degree of staining.

    摘要: Disclosed is a four-dimensional (4D: 3D+time) multi-plane broadband imaging apparatus capable of recording 3D multi-plane and multi-colour images simultaneously. The apparatus includes: one or more non-reentry quadratically distorted (NRQD) gratings which can produce a focal length and a spatial position corresponding to each diffraction order, thus simultaneously transmitting wavefront information between multiple object/image planes and a single image/object plane; a grism system which can limit chromatically-induced lateral smearing by creating a collimated beam in which the spectral components are laterally displaced; a lens system which is configured to adjust the optical path; and the optical detector(s). In an optical system, the multiple object/image planes, the lens system, the grism system, the NRQD grating(s), the optical detector(s) and the single image/object plane are located on the same optical axis. This simple, easy-to-use and compact apparatus can meet many different requirements and serve a large range of high throughput applications.
