Abstract:
A face plate includes a tubular member for freely and rotatably receiving a latch housing and having a first end and a second end. An opening is formed in the first end through which a latch bolt passes and has a diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the latch housing. The second end of the tubular member has an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the latch housing. A flange extends radially and outwardly from the first end of the tubular member. The tubular member further has a plurality of axially extending projections formed on an outer periphery thereof.
Abstract:
A cylindrical door lock set includes inner and outer knob supporting plates, a turning mechanism, an annular mounting plate and a latch unit. The outer knob supporting plate has a central hole and an inner side provided with a pair of posts on two sides of the central hole. The posts are hollow and are threaded internally. The turning mechanism is supported on the inner side of the outer knob supporting plate and is provided with a turn shaft. The annular mounting plate is secured on the inner side of the outer knob supporting plate and is formed with a pair of mounting shafts and a central hole to permit the turn shaft of the turning mechanism to extend therethrough. The latch unit is formed with a shaft engaging hole to permit the turn shaft to extend therethrough, and two side holes disposed on two sides of the shaft engaging hole in a lengthwise direction of the latch unit to receive respectively the mounting shafts. The latch unit is disposed between the posts of the outer knob supporting plate. The inner knob supporting plate is formed with a pair of holes which are aligned with the posts. Bolts pass through the holes of the inner knob supporting plate and engage a respective one of the posts.
Abstract:
A lock set for use with a deadbolt which includes an improved spindle mechanism is disclosed. The improved spindle mechanism permits the lock set to unlatch the deadbolt by rotating an inner knob without the need to operate a spindle-turning button.
Abstract:
A cylinder lock has a cylindrical plug which is formed with a longitudinally extending keyway and which has a plurality of pin tumblers extending into the keyway. Each of the pin tumblers has a cylindrical outer part and a concentric inner part telescopically slidable within the outer part. A key is inserted into the keyway and has a tumbler activating side which is formed with a longitudinally extending groove, a groove base having projections and/or recesses formed therein and a pair of upwardly extending key blades joined by the groove base. The inner part of each of the pin tumblers has a distal end which extends into the groove and which engages a corresponding one of the projections and/or recesses. The key blades are formed with matching key bit grooves which engage the outer parts of the pin tumblers. Each of the key bit grooves has a groove bottom which is disposed above the groove base, thereby permitting a relatively large difference between the lengths of the inner and outer parts of the pin tumblers so as to increase correspondingly the number of possible lock combinations and the difficulty in picking the cylinder lock.
Abstract:
An improved duplex latch-bolt mechanism is composed of a latch-bolt head assembly and a latch-bolt transfer device adapted to make a selectable connection with a standard latch-handle assembly having a square transfer member and a pair of cylindrical support nuts provided for use in a door fitting arrangement. The latch-bolt transfer device includes: a bolt extracting member with a central open section connected to the latch-bolt head assembly; an upper coupling member and a lower coupling member, connected around the extracting member, each formed with a plurality of selectable openings; a displacement member with a cam through opening ajustably joined with the upper and lower coupling members for being operated to define two selectable positions along with the upper and lower coupling members according to the door fitting arrangement; a cam setting device movably disposed in the open section of the bolt extracting member for being connected to the square transfer member during the performance of locking and unlocking operations; and a transfer locking member disposed on the displacement member for keeping the cam setting device in position.
Abstract:
A driving circuit for controlling power of a light-emitting diode (LED) light source includes a transformer, a switch controller, and a dimming controller. The transformer has a primary winding that receives input power from an AC/DC converter and a secondary winding that provides output power to the LED light source. The switch controller coupled between an optical coupler and the primary winding receives a feedback signal indicative of a target level of a current flowing through the LED light source from the optical coupler, and controls input power to the primary winding according to the feedback signal. The dimming controller coupled to the secondary winding receives a switch monitoring signal indicative of an operation of a power switch coupled between an AC power source and the AC/DC converter, and regulates the output power by adjusting the feedback signal according to the switch monitoring signal.
Abstract:
A mortise lock is provided with a reinforcing plate to enhance structural rigidity and robustness for resistance against external destructive pulling forces. The reinforcing plate is disposed in abutment with an exterior cover and a door panel, and is mounted on a mounting post of the exterior cover. The reinforcing plate has a notch to receive and engage a key lock. A securing plate may be disposed between and in abutment with the door panel and a main body of a torsional returning unit which is connected to an exterior handle to further increase structural rigidity.
Abstract:
A circuit includes a transformer and a controller. The transformer includes a primary winding and a secondary winding, and operates in multiple switching cycles. A switching cycle includes a charging period and a discharging period. During the charging period, the transformer is powered by the input voltage and a current flowing through the primary winding increases. During the discharging period the transformer discharges to power the load and a current flowing through the secondary winding decreases. The controller includes a pin that receives a first feedback signal indicating the input voltage during the charging period and receives a second feedback signal indicating an electrical condition of the secondary winding during the discharging period. The controller generates a first control signal and a second control signal to regulate the input voltage and an output current flowing through the load, respectively.
Abstract:
A driving circuit includes a first inductor coupled in series with a light source for providing power to the light source. A controller coupled to the first inductor can control a switch coupled to the first inductor, thereby controlling a current flowing through the first inductor. A current sensor coupled to the first inductor can provide a first signal indicative of the current flowing through the first inductor, regardless of whether the switch is on or off. The switch is controlled according to the first signal. A second inductor magnetically coupled to the first inductor is also electrically coupled to the first inductor via a common node between the switch and the first inductor for providing a reference ground for the controller. The reference ground is different from the ground of the driving circuit.
Abstract:
A re-keyable cylinder lock has a control member to permit or restrict transverse movement of a re-keying unit. The control member is movable axially between first and second positions and transversely to a third position from the second position. In the third position, the re-keying unit moves transversely and disengages from first tumbler pieces. A limit member is provided to prevent the control member from moving axially when no right key is inserted into a plug. A security arm is connected to the control member and is breakable so that destructive forces cannot reach the control member.
