摘要: A field device for automation technology, wherein the field device has a metal housing for accommodating a field device electronics, an RFID chip and a first RFID antenna for wireless communication and/or energy transmission between an RFID reading device arranged outside of the field device. The first RFID antenna is spaced from a neighboring wall of the metal housing, wherein shielding is provided between the first RFID antenna and the neighboring wall of the metal housing. The separation between the first RFID antenna and the wall of the metal housing and the shielding between the first RFID antenna and the neighboring wall of the metal housing are so dimensioned, that the metal housing does not prevent wireless communication and/or energy transmission between the RFID reading device and the field device.

摘要: A method for operating a sensor in a multisensor system, especially in a field device in the form of a measuring device for process automation technology, wherein data output from the sensor are evaluated by the measuring device connected with the sensor and the measuring device supplies the sensor with energy. In order reliably to limit production of lost heat in a measuring device to a certain value and, in spite of this, to be able to connect a number of sensors with different energy requirements to a measuring device, before a startup of the sensor, it is checked whether, with startup of the sensor, a maximum consumption of electrical energy of the measuring device would be exceeded.

摘要: A method for turbidity measurement in a measured medium uses a turbidity sensor, which comprises at least a first and a second emitter and at least a first and a second detector. The first and the second emitters are excited one after the other to produce light signals directed into the measured medium; wherein each light signal travels along a first propagation path through the measured medium to the first detector, and is converted by such into a first detector signal; and travels along a second propagation path through the measured medium to the second detector, and is converted by such into a second detector signal. A turbidity value is ascertained based on the first and the second detector signals; wherein, by means of at least one additional detector, to which at least one of the light signals travels along an additional propagation path, an additional detector signal is ascertained, and, on the basis of the additional detector signal, the turbidity value is checked as regards its plausibility.

摘要: An ATR-probe including: a housing having a media opening; a radiation guiding body closing the media opening and having two planparallel surfaces, between which light can be guided by means of total reflection. A section of a first planparallel surface bordered by a sealing ring can be contacted through the media opening with a medium to be measured. Transmission light conductors and receiving light conductors in the housing, wherein light is guided from the transmission light conductors, through the radiation guiding body, into the receiving light conductors; and wherein adjoining the first planparallel surface are first and second deflection surfaces, on which, respectively, light coupled into the radiation guiding body and light to be coupled out are deflected by total reflection, so that the light can be guided between the planparallel surfaces by means of total reflection. The light is not collimated, and the effective area of the transmission light conductors is smaller than the effective area of the receiving light conductors.
