    摘要: An anvil assembly 10 is described for a vertical shaft centrifugal impact crushing machine 11 for increasing the effective utilization of the assembly and for substantially reducing the cost to utilization ratio. The assembly 10 includes a wedge-shaped supporting base member 22 for attaching to a bracket 20 in which the base member 22 is cast of a high strength steel alloy material. The base member 22 has a wide longitudinal female dovetail groove 46 formed in an inclined front face 36 thereof extending between an upstream face 38 and a downstream face 40. The groove 54 has a shallow taper downward from the upstream face 38 to the downstream face 40. The assembly 10 includes a wedge-shaped wear resistant member 24 mountable to the base member 22 for receiving the particulate material from a central turntable. The wear resistant member 24 has a complementary wide male dovetail projection 82 formed on a back face 90 for slidably fitting into the female dovetail groove 46 to releasably secure the wear resistant member 24 to the base member 22. The base member 22 and the wear resistant member 24 have respective shoulder and abutment surfaces 67 and 88 for engaging each other to maintain a loose fit between the dovetail elements.

The base member 28 has a wide longitudinal female dovetail groove 54 formed in a front face 38 thereof extending between an inner end 32 and an outer end 34. The groove 54 has a shallow taper downward from the inner end 32 to the outer end 34. The assembly 10 includes a wear resistant member 30 mountable to the base member 28 for receiving the material from a central distribution disc 15 and directs the material radially outward along a front face 82. The wear resistant member 30 has a complementary male dovetail projection 100 formed on a back face for slidably fitting into the female dovetail groove 54 to releasably secure the wear resistant member 30 to the base member 28. The base member 28 and the wear resistant member 30 have respective shoulder and abutment surfaces 48 and 108 for engaging each other to maintain a loose fit between the dovetail elements.

    摘要: A rail fastener includes a spring clip of unitary rod-like construction having a mounting leg retained by an anchor member fixed relative a cross-tie. The clip leg is joined to an arm bearing upon the anchor member with the arm then joined to an arcuate loop crossing over the mounting leg diagonally thereto. The clip terminates in a rail arm engaging the base flange of a rail with a substantial downward clamping pressure being applied thereto. The clip mounting leg may be an integral enlargement forming a diameter to provide a mating fit within a bore through the anchor member or alternatively, the clip mounting leg may support a separate sleeve having an outer diameter mating with the anchor member bore.

The ends of the base piece project longitudinally beyond the respective ends of the joint bar to provide exposed terminal sections with an intermediate central section. Longitudinal migration of the base piece during travel over the rail joint is precluded by one or more end abutment members fixedly disposed relative the base piece and including an elevated inner abutment surface intermediate the central section and each terminal section and engaging the joint bar ends. The abutment members may comprise integral elevated tabs cut from the base piece or alternatively, separate members insertable through cut-out portions in the base piece terminal sections.

    摘要: An enclosure for a vehicle end opening disposed between two side walls includes a pair of bi-fold door assemblies, each comprising inner and outer panels hingedly connected to one another with the outer edges of the innermost panel in turn hingedly connected to a hinge rod normally disposed adjacent the outer limits of the end opening. Intermediate lock means are included with each pair of door panels for selectively precluding relative displacement therebetween and when actuated allows of folding of each pair of door panels to provide a collapsed juxtaposed relationship following which the folded door assembly may be pivoted about the hinge rod 90.degree. or until parallel to the vehicle side walls. The hinge rod supporting each door assembly is in turn supported and guided by hanger and track means extending longitudinally of the vehicle whereby the folded and pivoted door assembly may be displaced in a sliding manner to a retracted or stored position within the interior of the vehicle sides, at which point locking means are actuated to retain the door assembly secured.

    摘要: Adjustable pedestal assemblies for supporting stacks of automobile frames on the deck of a flat car. Each adjustable pedestal assembly forms a support for the rear end portion of the bottom frame of a stack of frames, and includes a channel-like base extending longitudinally of the car having parallel side walls and retainer flanges extending inwardly therefrom having inwardly opening notches spaced therealong. A pedestal block is supported on the channel-like base between the flanges thereof and is retained from tilting movement relative to the base by said flanges and is locked in position by a locking ring extending about the pedestal block. The locking ring has portions registrable with the notches in the flanges and is released from the notches by upward movement of the ring along the pedestal block, to accommodate movement of the pedestal block along the base in accordance with the length of frame to be supported.

    摘要: An idler slidably guiding a hold-down chain or the like running from cargo to a tiedown secured in a channel-type anchorage beam. The idler preferably comprises a rod bent near its center to form two legs, one of which is curved upwardly centrally of the leg to form a raised guide portion for slidably guiding the tiedown chain thereunder. The other leg is curved outwardly concavely relatively to the first leg and is dimensioned relative to the channel track, and the tiedown anchorage holes in the side wall thereof and the one leg so that the idler can be pivoted approximately 85* from a locked to a free position in which it can be slid longitudinally of the track. In all positions of the idler it is captured by the flanges of the channel so that it cannot be lifted out of the track. To lock the idler it is pivoted while the free end of the one leg is being inserted into a selected anchorage hole in one of the channel side walls until the free end of the other leg butts against the one side wall in the space between a pair of adjacent holes, whereupon the bend abuts the opposite side wall of the channel. The forces exerted by the tiedown chain assist in maintaining the idler in locked position.
