Each guide part is arranged between the vacuum box and the endless moving filter belt. Each guide part has a first groove, and an endless seal belt configured to run in the first groove in contact with the low pressure side. A detachable wear strip is arranged in the first groove of each guide part between the endless seal belt and the guide part.

摘要: An adjustable vacuum pan assembly [190] for a belt filter [900] is disclosed. The adjustable vacuum pan assembly [190] comprises an arm [140] configured to be attached to a frame portion [930] of the filter [900], a vacuum pan [150] adjustably connected to the arm [140], and a cam [170] operatively coupled to the arm [140]. The cam [170] is rotatable with respect to the arm [140] and has a peripheral surface which contacts a portion [157] of the vacuum pan [150]. The assembly [190] further comprises a locking member [169] which serves to hold the cam [170] against rotation with respect to the arm [140]. Varying an angular rotational position of the cam [170] effectively varies a spacing between the vacuum pan [150] and the arm [140], thereby providing an amount of misalignment compensation therebetween. Retrofit kits for a preexisting conventional filter [900] and methods of providing increased adjustability to a filter [900] are also disclosed.

摘要: A method of controlling separation of solid particles from a fluid is described, wherein the separation is carried out by means of a sieve apparatus (10) which includes an endless sieve cloth (1) structured in a manner allowing it to rotate around at least two spaced-apart turning rollers (14), wherein the method comprises: arranging at least two sieve cloth sheets (1′) in series in the direction of movement of the sieve cloth (1), wherein at least two of the at least two sieve cloth sheets (1′) have dissimilar filtering characteristics; controlling the endless sieve cloth (1) by rotating the turning rollers (14) in such a manner that a desirable amount of solid particles and fluid is supplied to at least one of, or is distributed between two or more of, the at least two sieve cloth sheets having desirable filtering characteristics. A sieve cloth for use in the method is also described.

摘要: This invention relates to a sieve cloth and a method of connecting the sieve cloth to a sieve apparatus of a type having an endless sieve cloth supported by a support belt which, in operation, is structured in a manner allowing it to rotate around at least two spaced-apart turning rollers. The method includes the steps of providing at least one sieve cloth sheet having an upper side, a lower side, two side portions and a first end portion and a second end portion extending between the side portions; bringing at least a portion of the sieve cloth sheet into engagement with a portion of the support belt; positioning the sieve cloth sheet against the support belt by moving the support belt around the turning rollers; bringing at least two adjoining end portions into engagement with each other until the at least one sieve cloth sheet forms an endless sieve cloth. A method of controlling the separation of solid particles from a fluid is also described.

摘要: A belt filter for separating liquids from solids in a slurry feed comprising a frame supporting a porous filter medium arranged over a moving carrier belt. The medium is adaptable to receive the feed and separate liquid filtrate therefrom. A vacuum pan is provided for collecting liquid filtrate separated from the feed. The vacuum pan is a rectangular trough having an open end located directly underneath the carrier belt, with the length of said vacuum pan being situated in the direction of movement of the carrier belt. A filtrate manifold is provided for receiving the filtrate from the vacuum pan, with the filtrate manifold being attached to and located directly underneath the vacuum pan to form an integral assembly that facilitates performing maintenance on the vacuum pan.

摘要: A boot seal for a vertically traveling water screen and a method forming a boot seal. The boot seal comprises a bent plate that extends from an attachment end to a free end. The attachment end is attached to a frame mounted at the bottom of a channel of water flowing through the water screen. The boot seal is positioned just upstream of the upward-moving upstream face of the water screen. The free end of the bent plate in a rest position is positioned close to or lightly touching the upstream face of the water screen. The bent plate has a concave surface facing the water screen. The bent plate acts as a cam follower to a passing lift element's cam. As the lift element slides along the concave cam surface, the lift element pivots the boot plate in an upstream direction against a spring bias. When the lift element clears the boot plate, the boot plate springs back to its rest position.
