    摘要: A rake classifier assembly including an elongate rake member reciprocally movable up an inclined surface to move solid material thereup is described. A pair of guide arrangements are provided each with a pivotally mounted elongate guide track along which respective wheels connected to the elongate rake member are movable. The guide tracks are selectively movable between first and second alignments, with the guide tracks extending substantially parallel to the inclined surface in the first alignment such that the elongate rake member can be moved up the inclined surface moving solid materials thereup, and in the second alignment the guide tracks diverge downwardly away from the inclined surface, such that as the elongate rake member is moved downwardly the elongate rake member also moves away from the inclined surface.

    摘要: A method of controlling separation of solid particles from a fluid is described, wherein the separation is carried out by means of a sieve apparatus (10) which includes an endless sieve cloth (1) structured in a manner allowing it to rotate around at least two spaced-apart turning rollers (14), wherein the method comprises: arranging at least two sieve cloth sheets (1′) in series in the direction of movement of the sieve cloth (1), wherein at least two of the at least two sieve cloth sheets (1′) have dissimilar filtering characteristics; controlling the endless sieve cloth (1) by rotating the turning rollers (14) in such a manner that a desirable amount of solid particles and fluid is supplied to at least one of, or is distributed between two or more of, the at least two sieve cloth sheets having desirable filtering characteristics. A sieve cloth for use in the method is also described.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for filtering sewage and wastewater. The filtering apparatus has a vertical structure including a filtering belt comprising a filter bag or a filter mesh that can filter out fine impurities. For this, the filtering apparatus includes a drive motor that receives power to drive the apparatus, an upper drive drum that is operated by the drive motor, a lower rotating drum that is interlocked with the upper drive drum, and a filtering belt that is wound and rotated around the upper drive drum and the lower rotating drum. The filtering apparatus cannot only filter out fine impurities less than from 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm but also separate earth and sand, unlike conventional filtering apparatuses that cannot conduct them. Furthermore, because the filtering apparatus can be placed upright or inclined at a predetermined angle, it can be used in a water inlet passage that is 4 m to 5 m underground, and impurities filtered out from water can be transferred to a height higher than 10 m above ground.

    摘要: A filter apparatus includes a endless filter belt loop disposed in an interior space within a tank which receives liquid to be filtered. The filter belt has a series of closely spaced parallel guide-flight bars attached which are successively engaged by an extendible element on a pivot plate which is periodically oscillated to under the filter belt. The bars are received in guide spaces to hold the filter belt in position over a filter support having openings allowing filtering flow therethrough. Collapsible sealed hoses partially filled with liquid are used as edge seals extending along the guide spaces over side edges of the filter belt and are expanded by engagement of an upper end of each of the hoses with a squeeze member on the pivot plate. The squeeze members are moved off the hoses when the pivot plate is oscillated to advance the filter belt during indexing to release the sealing pressure and allow filter belt indexing movement. The pivot plate oscillation also operates a beater bar to guide the belt to dislodge solids from the belt. In a vacuum version, the filter belt support is provided by molded plastic support pieces assembled over a solid curving support plate in the tank.

    摘要: A compressible boot seal for sealing the side of a vertical traveling water screen with flights. The boot seal is formed by a U-shaped, bent nylon plate having a bottom base that resides in the boot section at the lower end of the traveling water screen and two upwardly extending arms that are attached at their distal ends to a side of the water screen support. The plate is bent at the intersection of the base and the arms to form a living hinge that allows the plate to deflect toward the side of the support on contact with side edges of the flights. The hinge seals the plate against the side edges of the flights. A resilient filler material fills the void between the plate and the side of the support to prevent sand and debris from interfering with the deflection of the side seal.

The filter medium is moveable in a longitudinal direction, and at least a segment of the filter medium is used to filter a fluid. Seals are used to seal the filter medium segment's side edges, and the seals are moveable with the filter medium in the longitudinal direction. Consequently, the seal may not need to be raised or deflated during indexing of the filter medium. Additionally, the indexing of the filter medium does not create wear on the filter medium and seal and does not cause distortion or tear of the filter medium.
