    摘要: The invention disclosed is control equipment for use with a nozzle centrifuge for separating a light phase liquid, a heavy phase liquid, and/or solids from a mixture thereof wherein the separated heavy phase and solids are continuously removed through nozzles that are arranged at the periphery of the rotor of the nozzle centrifuge. Separated light phase liquid is discharged through a central outlet in the rotor. Through a space in the rotor, which communicates with the radially outer part of the rotor separating chamber, liquid may either be supplied under pressure to the rotor or be discharged from the rotor far maintaining an interface layer formed in the separating chamber between separated light and heavy phases. A supply device and a discharge device are adapted to supply to the rotor and discharge from the rotor, respectively, only so much liquid as is required for the purpose. The discharge device is separated from the supply device, so that discharged liquid need not be subjected to the pressure generated by or maintained in the supply device.

    摘要: An imperforate bowl centrifuge for phase separation employing a rotatable outer cylinder having an interior wall with a plurality of indentations each with an orifice, and an outer wall with heavy phase waste routing channels leading from the orifices to a waste control valve. Separated heavy phase particles collect in the channels and flow by force of pressure, and exit through the waste control valve at one end of the outer cylinder when it is opened to release the waste. An outlet for the separated light phase fluid is disposed at another end of the outer cylinder. The channels in the outer wall may be axially or angularly disposed to force the separated heavy phase toward the waste control valve.

In one aspect, a centrifuge for removing more dense material from a fluid medium includes a fluid separation wall placed within a sleeve. The fluid separation wall rotates around the axis of rotation. A receptacle aids in separation of the more dense material from the fluid medium. The receptacle defined in a part by a respective geometry and a respective shape. An opening extends from the void area to the outer surface to transport the more dense material to the containment zone. An excitation apparatus associated with the receptacle creates a vibration within the receptacle. The centrifuge may further include a valve ring including a valve orifice the valve ring having a first position which blocks the more dense material from exiting the receptacle and a second position that allows the more dense material to move into the containment zone.

    摘要: A separator for separating a first fluid from a second fluid through rotation about an axis of rotation, the first fluid having a density less than the density of the second fluid. In one embodiment, the separator includes a separation chamber mounted for rotation about the axis of rotation. A first weir is positioned in fluid communication with the separation chamber. A second weir is positioned over which the second fluid may pass to exit the separation chamber through a collection chamber. A fluid pressure chamber is positioned radially outwardly from the crest of the second weir to receive the second fluid as it passes over the second weir. The fluid pressure chamber is partially defined by an exit weir over which the second fluid may pass. A gas chamber is positioned in the passageway between the second weir and the exit weir and includes a gas escape passageway through which excess gas may escape from the gas chamber such that a gas barrier is formed to maintain the fluid level between the gas chamber and the fluid pressure chamber at the radial level of the gas escape passageway. A gas introduction passageway is provided through which gas may be introduced into the gas chamber.
