The method includes the steps of providing a plastics injection molding machine having a screw. A step of removing the screw is included in the method. A step of replacing the screw with a modified screw configured and arranged for processing metals is also included. Alternatively, a step of removing the flights from the middle portion of the original screw shaft may be included.

    摘要: Intended is to provide a molding machine using a built-in type motor as an injecting electric motor. In this molding machine, a mounting structure for such a transmission mechanism from a rotational motion to a linear motion, as changes the rotation of the built-in motor into the linear motion thereby to transmit the linear motion to an injecting member, is simplified to improve the assembling workability. For this improvement, a sleeve is fixed in the rotor of the built-in type motor. In the hollow portion of the sleeve, a screw shaft or the rotating portion of a ball screw mechanism and the sleeve are connected and fixed by a connecting member. A nut member or the straight portion of the ball screw mechanism is fixed on a member for performing straight motions together with the injecting member.

    摘要: Provided is an injection molding machine using a built-in type motor as a measuring electric servomotor. In order to reduce the entire length of the machine (the injection molding machine), the metering electric motor is exemplified by a hollow built-in type motor, which includes a cylindrical stator, and a cylindrical rotor positioned in the stator. A sleeve is fixed in the rotor of the built-in type motor, and a member fixing the rear end portion of a screw and the sleeve are connected/fixed. Moreover, a nut member as a straight portion of a ball screw mechanism for converting the rotation of an injecting electric motor into linear motions and the sleeve are connected/fixed.

    摘要: A low melting point metal material is made to a thixotropic state in which liquid phases and solid phases coexists. In the thixotropic state of the low melting point metal material, a carbon nano material is kneaded with the low melting point metal material and forms a composite material. Thus obtained composite material is supplied to a metal molding machine and injected into a mold in a thixotropic state or a completely molten state of the metal so that the composite material fills the mold, thereby the composite material is molded to a composite metal product. With the above process, it is possible to injection mold the composite metal product to which the characteristics of the carbon nano material are applied.

    摘要: An injection apparatus for transferring melted metals is capable of metering and degassing the melted metal in a reservoir to reserve metals in the liquid phase for injection. The injection apparatus includes a heating cylinder having a metering chamber. An injection screw is movably and rotationally installed within the heating cylinder. A tip end of the injection screw forms a plunger insertable into the metering chamber with a clearance for sliding. The reservoir includes an axial portion free of screw flights between the plunger and a feeding portion that has a screw flight around its axis. A projected portion for limiting the feeding of granular metals flowing to the reservoir and for preventing the metals in liquid phase from flowing backward during injection is provided on a boundary between the feeding portion and the reservoir.

    摘要: An injection apparatus for melted metals is provided to be capable of transferring the metals, melting them by the external heat, metering and degassing by employing a reservoir to reserve metals in liquid phase for the injection screw. The injection apparatus comprises a heating cylinder having a fore end portion which communicates with a nozzle member and of which internal diameter is made smaller to serve as a metering chamber, and an injection screw installed within the heating cylinder to be movable and rotational. A tip end of the injection screw is formed in a plunger having a diameter that can insert into the metering chamber with keeping a clearance for sliding. A reservoir, for reserving melted metals in liquid phase, consisting of an axis is provided between the plunger and a feeding portion containing screw flight around the axis. A projected portion for limiting the feeding of granular metals flowing to the reservoir and for preventing the metals in liquid phase from flowing backward during injection is provided on a boundary between the feeding portion and the reservoir.
