摘要: A die-casting machine has a casting mould, a casting chamber, a casting piston arranged in an axially movable manner in the casting chamber, a melt inlet channel which leads into the casting chamber, a shut-off valve in the melt inlet channel, a melt outlet channel which leads from the casting chamber to the casting mould, and a control unit for controlling the casting piston. The control unit and the shut-off valve are configured, after completing a filling phase in a subsequent refilling phase firstly to bring the shut-off valve into an open position and to control the casting piston to move back into the casting start position, in order to supply the casting chamber with melt material via the melt inlet channel, and to control the shut-off valve into its closed position again before the casting piston has reached its casting start position by virtue of its return movement, and to control the casting piston to back-suction melt material in the melt outlet channel by virtue of the further return movement of the casting piston.

摘要: A pressure intensifier device for increasing pressure in a pressurized fluid chamber of a piston/cylinder unit and a casting unit provided therewith for a diecasting machine, and also an associated operating method are provided. The pressure intensifier device has a pressure intensifier cylinder and a pressure intensifier piston, which is guided in an axially movable manner in the cylinder, wherein the pressure intensifier cylinder has an outlet region, an inlet region upstream of the outlet region and a piston guiding chamber, and the pressure intensifier piston has a piston part, which is guided in the piston guiding chamber, and a piston rod, which extends from the piston part to the inlet region, in a maximally retracted release position releases a fluid connection between the inlet region and the outlet region and, in a maximally advanced blocking position, blocks this connection with a free end portion, with which it extends into the outlet region. Over a portion that can be passed through by the free end portion of the piston rod during movement from the release position into the blocking position, the outlet region has a free passage cross section for the free piston rod end portion that is at least equal in size to a rod cross section of the free piston rod end portion. Advantageously, a pressure intensifier inlet valve can be controlled independently of a pressure in the pressurized fluid chamber of the piston/cylinder unit.

摘要: A die casting machine includes a clamping device 7 which opens and closes and clamps a pair of die halves, an injection apparatus which performs injection to the pair of die halves by making a plunger move forward in a sleeve communicated with a space between the pair of die halves, and a control device which controls the clamping device and injection apparatus. The control device includes an injection control part and press-use clamping control part. The injection control part controls the injection apparatus so as to start the injection in a state where the pair of die halves face each other through a gap. The press-use clamping control part controls the clamping device so that the die contact and clamping are carried out after the start of injection. Further, the injection control part performs control for decelerating the plunger before the plunger stops.

摘要: A high-pressure die casting apparatus including a shot sleeve extending through a first die half to a molding surface, and a plunger received in the shot sleeve is provided. The shot sleeve includes a side wall presenting a fluid passageway and a partial end wall disposed in a fixed position relative to the side wall. The partial end wall defines a wall opening adjacent the molding surface. Fluid is poured into the shot sleeve while the die apparatus is open, and the partial end wall prevents the fluid from flowing out of the shot sleeve. The plunger then presses the material into the mold cavity until only a portion of the material remains in the shot sleeve and blocks the wall opening. After the solidified material is ejected from the apparatus, the portion of material blocking the wall opening prevents lubricant from entering the shot sleeve.

摘要: In a die casting apparatus, during feeding of molten metal by an electromagnetic pump, a molten metal level sensor repeatedly detects a during-feeding level of the molten metal stored in a molten metal holding furnace; a control unit corrects a molten metal feeding voltage to a during-feeding voltage based on the repeatedly detected during-feeding level of the molten metal such that an amount of the molten metal fed by the electromagnetic pump coincides with a prescribed amount; the control unit applies the during-feeding voltage to the electromagnetic pump to cause the electromagnetic pump to feed the molten metal from the molten metal holding furnace into a plunger sleeve; and casting is performed through an injecting operation in which the molten metal fed into the plunger sleeve is extruded by a plunger tip to be injected into a cavity.

摘要: Disclosed is a vessel for melting meltable material having a body with a melting portion configured to receive meltable material to be melted therein and an injection path for injecting the meltable material in molten form after melting (e.g., into a mold). The body has a recess configured to contain the meltable material within the vessel during melting of the material. The vessel is configured for movement between in a first position to restrict entry of molten material into an injection path of the vessel and to contain the material in the recess during melting, and a second position to allow movement of the material in a molten form through the injection path and into the mold (e.g., using a plunger). The vessel can be used in an injection molding system for molding bulk amorphous alloys.
