The apparatus may include an open-ended, substantially tubular body, a charcoal support, and a fuel source. The apparatus may be charged with charcoal disposed upon the charcoal support. The apparatus may be fashioned such that as the fuel source burns, the charcoal may be ignited from the innermost coals to the outermost coals, at which point the apparatus may also be substantially consumed.

摘要： A fire log includes a single fire log cut in a specific design to enable easy ignition and sustenance of a self-contained campfire. The single log is designed to stand vertically and may range from twenty-four to seventy-two inches in height depending on diameter. In most instances, four vertical, diametrical cuts are made in the log forming eight pie-slice segments. The cuts extend from the top surface of the log downward toward the base of the log. The vertical cuts stop short of the entire length of the log leaving approximately 25% of the length uncut. The uncut portion forms the base of the log. One of the segments is cut horizontally at its lower end adjacent the top of the base so that the segment can be removed from the log for air flow control.

摘要： An artificial firelog and firestarter chip producing apparatus comprising a cutting assembly, a compression conveyor auger assembly and a die. The apparatus converts standard waxed corrugated cardboard boxes into artificial firelogs by first slicing cardboard sheets into cardboard strips, then chopping the cardboard strips into cardboard segments in the cutting assembly. The cardboard segments are compressed and in the compression conveyor auger assembly and extruded in the die to form generally circular, longitudinally-shaped sections of a firelog. Firestarter chips are fabricated by the cutting assembly, which slices cardboard sheets in conjunction with paper sheets into cardboard and paper strips, then chopping the cardboard strips into cardboard segments and the paper strips into paper mix.

摘要： A flameless heating system comprising the mixture of solid state titanium boride materials with a solution of hydrogen peroxide. A small amount of solid titanium boride in the form of a tablet, powder, or thin film is added to an aqueous peroxide solution. After addition of the solid titanium boride to the aqueous peroxide solution, a significant amount of heat is released to the surroundings. As the mixture of solid titanium boride to the aqueous peroxide solution often forms a gel, the mixture provides self-regulated amounts of heat.

摘要： A wrapper for an artificial firelog and an artificial firelog incorporating the same. The wrapper comprises a combustible outer layer and an inner layer having a plurality of air pockets enclosed therein. The inner and outer layers may be wrapped separately around the artificial firelog or they may be bonded together and then wrapped around the firelog. The air pockets of the inner layer may include scented material. As the wrapper burns along with the artificial firelog, the air in the air pockets of the inner layer expands and eventually the air pockets explode individually. The exploding air pockets emit a sound. If the air pockets include a scented material, the scented material is released when the air pockets explode.

The composition preferably comprises between approximately 0.5 weight percent and approximately 90 weight percent of a terpene or terpenoid oil, and between approximately 0.5 weight percent and approximately 98.5 weight percent of short chain alcohol, between approximately 0.5 weight percent and approximately 60 weight percent of water, between approximately 0.1 weight percent and approximately 10 weight percent of surfactant, and between approximately 0.5 weight percent and approximately 10 weight percent of thickening agent. The preferred terpene preferably comprises d-limonene or a citrus derived oil containing d-limonene such as cold-pressed orange oil. The preferred alcohols are methanol and ethanol. The preferred surfactant is a non-ionic detergent or detergents, and the preferred thickener is a pH controllable slightly cross-linked polyacrylic acid material.
