The valve assembly is configured to hydraulically connect either the second section of the production tubing or the third section of production tubing to the first section of production tubing. The seal stack is configured to mate with a seal bore of the second section of the production tubing. The locking mechanism is configured to mate with a lock profile of the second section of the production tubing.

摘要: A fallback prevention valve apparatus, system and method is described. An electric submersible pump (ESP) fallback prevention system includes an ESP assembly positioned in a downhole well, the ESP assembly including production tubing extending between a centrifugal pump and a surface of the downhole well such that during operation of the ESP assembly production fluid flows upward from the centrifugal pump through the production tubing to the surface, the production tubing including a fallback valve actuatable by the flow of production fluid, the fallback valve actuatable between an open position, wherein production fluid flowing upward through the fallback valve actuates the fallback valve into the open position, and a closed position, wherein production fluid flowing downward through the fallback valve actuates the fallback valve into the closed position, the closed position blocking sand carried by the production fluid from falling into the centrifugal pump.

摘要: An electrical submersible pumping system (“ESP”) for use in a wellbore includes an electrical motor, a pump, a shaft coupled between the motor and pump, and a lubricant pump for circulating lubricant within the ESP. The lubricant pump includes a diffuser and an impeller that mounts onto and rotates with shaft rotation. A portion of the impeller has a frusto-conical outer surface, which is circumscribed by a portion of the diffuser profiled complementary to the frusto-conical portion of the impeller. The pump directs lubricant flow in a single direction irrespective of the rotational direction of the shaft.

摘要: A system includes an electric submersible pump (ESP) assembly configured to transport a fluid in a casing string of a well to a surface location. The ESP includes a pump configured to receive, upon activation, the fluid through a pump intake and vent the fluid through a pump discharge; an output shaft extending downhole from and fixed to the pump; and a control valve assembly. The control valve assembly includes a movable core of an electromagnet movable along a central axis of the system; a generator attached to the electromagnet, configured to generate electrical power to pull the movable core in an uphole direction upon activation of the pump of the electric submersible pump assembly; a shaft coupler coupling a generator input shaft and the output shaft; and a stinger having a conduit for the fluid to flow from the casing string to the pump intake. The stinger includes at least one intake slot configured to receive the fluid; and an exit configured to vent the fluid to the pump intake of the electric submersible pump assembly. The control valve assembly also includes a flow tube connected to the movable core, the flow tube comprising an exterior surface creating fluid communication between the flow tube and the stinger before, when, or after the exterior surface uncovers the at least one intake slot of the stinger. The ESP also includes a spring configured to slide the movable core upon deactivation of the pump of the electric submersible pump assembly.

The inverted shroud forms a bypass path channel within a casing annulus.
