摘要: A bi-directional valve with valve elements having compliant features biasing them together to maintain a sealing interface that defines a fluid communication barrier within the valve. Parting the valve elements from one another removes the sealing interface to allow fluid communication across the valve elements. The valve includes a side port and a choke member that selectively blocks fluid flow through the valve when moved adjacent the side port and selectively opens the valve to fluid communication when moved away from the side port. The choke member remains adjacent the side port until the valve elements are spaced a distance apart greater than that at which valve erosion or fluid cavitation occurs.

摘要: A regulator valve has a check valve manifold for use in subsea control circuits. For example, the regulator valve having the check valve manifold can be used in a circuit between a directional control valve and an actuator for a gate valve. The check valve manifold can be a flange that attaches to the regulator valve to communicate with the supply and outlet of the regulator valve. Internal communication inside the manifold includes a check valve. If the pressure in the circuit downstream of the regulator valve needs to be vented, the check valve can open to allow the pressure to bleed from the outlet back to the supply without needing to pass through the internal pressure control valve of the regulator.

摘要: Oil recovery can include providing a tubing string and isolation devices to define isolated intervals for an existing well previously operated using plug-and-perf and primary production. Valve assemblies are installed in respective isolated intervals, each valve assembly including at least two valves. The valve can be operated in open and closed configurations, and at least one open configuration provides choked flow via an elongated passage. The valves can have a housing and a shiftable sleeve. The valve assemblies can be operated to provide a desired openness based on the injectivity or other properties by shifting the sleeves of the valves. Different flow resistance levels can be provided to facilitate enhanced operations for water flooding and other oil recovery processes.

摘要: A first interval inflow control device and a second interval inflow control device are positioned on a production tubing string proximate to a first subterranean interval and a second subterranean interval, respectively. The inflow control devices each include a central bore, a sand screen surrounding an inner tube, a plurality of ports connect the annular space between an inner surface of the sand screen and an outer surface of the inner tube, and a sliding sleeve configured to translate between an open position and closed position. A first shifting tool is configured to engage with and axially translate the sliding sleeve of the first interval inflow control device and a second shifting tool is configured to engage with and axially translate the sliding sleeve of the second interval inflow control device. The second shifting tool has an outer diameter less than the bore of the first interval inflow control device.

摘要: An adaptive fluid switch for regulating the production rate of a fluid. The adaptive fluid switch includes a fluid control valve having a self-impinging valve element with at least one dissolvable plug configured to initially block fluid flow therethrough. After dissolution of the dissolvable plug and when the fluid produced through the adaptive fluid switch has a viscosity greater than a first predetermined level, the fluid follows a low resistance flow path in the self-impinging valve element but when the fluid has a viscosity less than a second predetermined level, the fluid follows a high resistance flow path in the self-impinging valve element, thereby regulating the production rate of the fluid responsive to changes in the viscosity of the fluid.

摘要: An electro-hydraulic control system for actuating a control valve includes a control module. The control module is coupled to the surface via two hydraulic lines and an electric line. The control module uses one of the hydraulic lines as an “open” line and the other line as a “close” line. The control module includes a normally closed (NC) solenoid valve (SOV) that is coupled to the electric line and can be controlled from the surface to open or close. The opening or closing of the NC SOV in cooperation with hydraulic pressure on an “open” or “close” line of the hydraulic lines operates (i.e., closes or opens) the control valve.
