    摘要: A minimum length-side property in which an extension-side damping coefficient signifies a hard state in a range (Aa0) where the piston rod enters further inside the cylinder than a minimum length-side predetermined position (Sa1), and a maximum length-side property in which the extension-side damping coefficient signifies a soft state in a range (Aa4) where the piston rod extends further outside the cylinder than a maximum length-side predetermined position (Sa4) are included. An extension-side damping force property between the minimum length-side predetermined position (Sa1) and the maximum length-side predetermined position (Sa4) includes a part (Sa1 to Sa2, Sa3 to Sa4) in which a damping coefficient change rate with respect to a stroke of the piston rod is large and a part (Sa2 to Sa3) in which the damping coefficient change rate is small. At least when the piston rod strokes to the extension side from the minimum length-side predetermined position (Sa1), the damping coefficient change rate is allowed to be large.

    摘要: A shock absorber includes a partitioning board fixed in a chamber of a cylinder to separate the chamber into first and second compartments receiving a damping fluid. The partitioning board includes a first through-hole in communication with the first and second compartments. A buffering disc is mounted in the chamber and forms a bottom end of the second compartment. A rod is slidably received in the chamber and slideably extends through the first through-hole. A damping valve is securely mounted around the rod and is slideably received in the first compartment. The rod has downwardly decreasing cross sections. A gap is formed between an inner periphery of the first through-hole and an outer periphery of the rod. When the rod moves downward, an area of the gap decreases gradually to gradually increase resistance to the damping fluid flowing from the first compartment into the second compartment via the first through-hole.

    摘要: An air chamber (53) of a damping force adjusting mechanism (49) disposed in a hydraulic shock absorber (3) of a damping force adjusting type communicates with an air chamber (7) of an air spring through a tubular path (57). A free piston (51) is transferred in accordance with the pressure of the air chamber and a spool (46) is transferred to shift a damping force. The damping force presents a soft characteristic both on the extending side and on the retracting side in a usual status, presents a hard characteristic on the extending side and a soft characteristic on the retracting side when the pressure of the air chamber is high, and presents a soft characteristic on the extending side and a hard characteristic on the retracting side when the pressure of the air chamber (7) is low. The damping force can be obtained, which approximates the damping force control on the basis of a so-called sky-hook theory. Therefore, the air suspension apparatus can alleviate the input from the axle side and improve a riding comfort and stability in operability by controlling the vibration on the vehicle body side.
