Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of retorting apparatus used in the field of oil shale processing, in particular the invention relates to the end sealing assembly of the rotary kiln and the improvements of the end sealing (16); whereas the first and second casing ring (2, 3) used in the end sealing compose of at least four segment, and onto both sides of the rotating casing ring (1) a rectangulary cut hollow (81, 91) for lubricants has been formed; and on the side that is assembled with the rotating casing ring of the first and second casing ring (2, 3), accordingly, a hollow (82, 93) has been formed for lubricants, which in the making face the corresponding hollow (81, 91) of the casing ring, forming lubricant channels (8, 9) between the casing ring (1) of the end sealing assembly and the first and second casing ring (2, 3).
Abstract:
A cotton variety, designated 98M-2983, the plants and seeds of the cotton variety 98M-2983, methods for producing a cotton plant, either varietal or hybrid, produced by crossing the cotton variety 98M-2983 with itself or with another cotton plant, and hybrid cotton seeds and plants produced by crossing the variety 98M-2983 with another cotton variety or plant and to methods for producing a cotton plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic cotton plants produced by that method. This invention also relates to cotton varieties derived from cotton variety 98M-2983, to methods for producing other cotton varieties derived from cotton variety 98M-2983 and to the varieties derived by the use of those methods.
Abstract:
Front and rear side flange portions of a filter accommodating cylinder are provided with positioning pins. A flange portion of an upstream cylinder is provided with a notched groove and a flange portion of a downstream cylinder is provided with a notched groove. In consequence, when the filter accommodating cylinder is connected between the upstream cylinder and the downstream cylinder, each of the positioning pins disposed at the front and rear flange portions is engaged with each notched groove of the upstream cylinder and the downstream cylinder. The filter accommodating cylinder can be positioned to be coaxial with the upstream cylinder and the downstream cylinder. As a result, after performing a cleaning operation to a DPF, an operation of once again connecting the filter accommodating cylinder between the upstream cylinder and the downstream cylinder can be quickly and easily performed.
Abstract:
A duct has: a first non-metallic member extending between a first end and a second end, at least at the first end having an outwardly-projecting flange portion; a metallic flange member having a sleeve extending between a first end and a second end and a flange extending outward from the sleeve and having a first face and a second face; and a second non-metallic member extending between a first end and a second end having an outwardly-projecting flange portion, the first non-metallic member flange portion mounted to the flange first face and the second non-metallic member flange portion mounted to the flange second face.
Abstract:
A connection flange for connecting an industrial machine is intended to bear against a collar provided on the body of the machine and to collaborate in clamping with a corresponding connection flange. The connection flange includes an annular one-piece flange body and a split locking piece which fits around a cylindrical part of the body of the machine. The locking piece includes a first face intended to bear against a bearing surface provided on the collar and a second face constituting a thrust surface against which the flange body presses at the time of clamping.
Abstract:
A tubular coupling member is configured to couple a fluid delivery pipe located external to a building with a service pipe located inside the building. The tubular coupling member includes a longitudinal axis and a pipe extending along the longitudinal axis. The pipe has a first end with a straight connector portion and a second end configured to couple to the service pipe. The straight connector portion includes an outer surface and a terminating taper. The outer surface has a substantially uniform outside diameter, and the taper extends radially inward from the outer surface toward the longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A wellhead coupling and method for coupling and sealing an annulus formed between overlapping ends of an outer pipe and an inner pipe. A clamp housing grips the inner pipe, forms a horizontal landing base for the outer pipe, and forms circumferential ports aligned with the annulus. A seal ring and upper metal ring are located in the annulus, the seal ring being formed with ports to align with ports of the clamp housing, and the upper metal ring being formed with threaded holes to align with ports of the seal ring and the clamp housing. Threaded seal engaging members extend through the aligned ports for threaded connection in the threaded holes of the upper metal ring. A seal energizing member located within or below the clamp housing pulls downwardly on the threaded seal engaging members to energize the seal ring into sealing relationship in the annulus.
Abstract:
An exhaust system having a pipe for conveying exhaust from an engine, the end of which has an outwardly-protruding lip; a first pipe flange having a hole large enough to allow the lipped end of the pipe to pass through it, and a recessed shoulder adjacent the hole; a collar, configured to releasably encircle said first pipe, to abut with the recessed shoulder at its outer periphery, and the lipped end of the pipe at its inner periphery, thereby preventing the collar and lipped pipe assembly from passing through said hole; and a second pipe flange configured to attach to said first pipe flange to connect a tail pipe to the first pipe, and to hold the pipe, flange and collar assembly together. The invention also provides counterweights for counterweighted lift trucks adapted to secure such exhaust systems, and methods of fitting such exhaust systems.
Abstract:
A flange (1) made of composite material, a method of making the flange (1) and a mandrel (3) upon which the flange (1) is formed are provided. The flange (1) is a curved hollow member that has a substantially triangular cross-section. The method of making the flange (1) includes applying composite material to external surfaces of a curved mandrel (3). The mandrel (3) is curved and comprises a solid triangular cross-section. The method also includes curing the composite material to produce a flange (1) that is a curved hollow member that is substantially triangular in cross-section.
Abstract:
An electrolytic corrosion prevention structure at a flange connection part in which the occurrence of an electrolytic corrosion is suppressed without increasing the number of the airtight and/or watertight parts and that can be easily processed is provided.a pair of pipe members 21 and 22, which has flanges 21a and 22a at the end of pipes and which has a groove surrounding the end of the pipe formed between the flanges 21a and 22a by jointing the flanges 21a and 22a; an annular seal member 23 which places in an outer circumference of the joint part of the flanges 21 a and 22a in the groove: and an interposition member 24 which places in an outer circumference of the seal member 23; wherein the electric potential difference which occurs when either material of the pair of pipe members 21 and 22 and the material of the interposition member 24 are contacted, smaller than the electric potential difference when the materials of the pair of pipe member 21 and 22 are contact with each other.
