摘要： Contact lens cleansing apparatus comprises at least one cavity for containing a contact lens together with cleansing a liquid. An ultrasonic transducer applies ultrasonic frequency mechanical vibrations to the liquid and lens contained in the cavity. Oscillating means for driving ultrasonic transducer at a substantially stable resonant frequency includes a dual ferrite core transformer feedback circuit which minimizes energy consumption. There is also a timer whose operation is controlled from the oscillating means. Simultaneous cleaning and sterilizing of a contact lens is achieved.

摘要： A lens cleaning and polishing method utilizes a stretcher frame mounting a soft pliable lens cleaning and polishing cloth. A hand held suction handle is used to hold one side of a contact lens against the cloth. When the concave side is held against the cloth, the cloth is tented with the finger of the user or a similar shaped object to have the cloth conform to the concave surface. When the convex surface is to be polished, it is placed directly against the cloth and pressure applied. In each case, the cloth covers a substantial portion of the curved surface. The cloth is wetted with a polishing cleaning material and the lens is rubbed with respect to the cloth in order to polish and clean the lens rapidly and efficiently in a hand operation.

摘要： Contact lens disinfector unit for sterilizing contact lenses contained within a lens case, wherein the contact lenses are of the type which preferably should be sterilized or disinfected once each day and periodically cleaned after a predetermined number of sterilizing or disinfecting cycles. The heating unit includes a housing in which is disposed a heating block arranged to contact the lens case, and circuit means operatively associated with the heating block and adapted to be coupled to a source of electric potential for utilizing electric current to apply heat to the heating block. The circuit applies the electric current for a sufficient period of time to attain a desired sterilizing temperature within the case, and then terminates the heating cycle allowing the lens case and the contact lenses to cool, thereby completing the overall sterilizing cycle. The disinfector unit includes a cycle indicating arrangement which is responsive to the temperature changes of the heating block for providing a first indication upon reaching the sterilizing temperature and a second indication responsive to the heating block returning to a reduced temperature below the sterilizing temperature. The first indication indicates that the heating block is at an elevated temperature and the second indication indicates the number of sterilizing cycles which have been employed since the contact lenses were last cleaned.

摘要： An apparatus for the cleansing of contact lenses comprising a housing for containing a lens divided into a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion may be joined or removed from the bottom portion. In addition, the top portion is movable while joined with the bottom portion and vice-versa. Within the top and bottom portions are scrubbing pad means which are used to scrub a contact lens when the top portion of the housing is moved in relation to the bottom portion. An offset dome is built into the bottom portion which causes the lens to migrate within the housing during scrubbing, thereby thoroughly cleansing all portions of the lens.

摘要： There is a container to hold lens washing fluid. A member is rotatably mounted in a lidlike member mounted on this container. This rotatably mounted member has a lower part that removably receives a perforated case for a contact lens. Mounted on the lidlike member is a turn knob that through gearing mounted in the lid turns the rotatable member carrying the lens case so that washing takes place of the contact lens carried in the perforated case. The container has spaced-apart depending legs between which a lens case carrier may be stored. The turn knob has two compartments with hinged tops for storage of right and left contact lenses.
