Abstract:
A reverse conveying apparatus which again conveys a sheet formed an image by an image forming portion to the image forming portion includes a plurality of roller grippers which supports a sheet formed an image, and a belt which moves the roller grippers to a receiving position where a sheet is received and a carry-out position where a supported sheet is conveyed out. When a sheet is conveyed out in the carry-out position, the sheet is conveyed out such that a rear end thereof when it is received at the receiving position is a leading end.
Abstract:
In a duplex printer with automatic duplex printing by recirculating the sheets printed on their first sides through a duplex path for printing their second sides before feeding them to the output path, electronic information corresponding to a pre-set maximum level of acceptable sheet weight for that printer is compared to a remote user job input with electronic information corresponding to the desired sheets to be printed. If exceeded, the printer automatically switches to a different duplex printing mode in which the heavyweight sheets are printed on only one side and fed to the output path, and a GUI at the printer automatically displays instructions to unload these simplex printed sheets and properly reload them in an input in the correct orientation to print their opposite sides with locally stored page images for those opposite sides, and printing is restarted at the printer rather than the remote job input site.
Abstract:
An image printing apparatus for performing duplex image printing to a transferring sheet, comprising: an image printing section for printing an image on the transferring sheet by making use of a toner including wax; a fixing section for fixing the image printed on the transferring sheet; and a transporting member for changing a moving direction of the transferring sheet, wherein the transporting member has at least a curvature and smooth surface which contacts uniformly the transferring sheet with the fixed image. The transporting member is formed with a plurality of convexity parts arranged in oblique, X-, or V-shapes.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus, which realizes a buffering function which enables post-processing without decreasing the productivity and increasing the size. At least one image is formed on a sheet. A double-sided sheet conveying path is provided, which the sheet passes when being conveyed back to the image forming unit again to form an image on an opposite side surface of the sheet after an image is formed on one side surface of the sheet. A retaining member is provided on the double-sided sheet conveying path to retain the sheet on the double-sided sheet conveying path. A post-processing device carries out post-processing on sheets on which images have been formed by the image forming unit. A CPU circuit section, which controls conveyance of the sheet, provides control to convey the sheet on which the at least one image has been formed by the image forming unit to the double-sided sheet conveying path, cause the retaining member to temporarily retain the sheet on the double-sided sheet conveying path, and then convey the sheet to the post-processing device.
Abstract:
An image generating apparatus equipped with detachable sheet conveyance units can reduce a first print time period at the time of releasing a sleep mode. An engine controller turns on an ON/OFF signal in response to a sleep release instruction. It sends via serial communication an OUT signal instructing to start an option paper feed cassette controller which is assigned higher priority, thereby starting the option paper feed cassette controller. It is possible to perform image generating operation in a state in which only an option paper feed cassette is started. In parallel with the image generating operation, a duplexer unit controller is started.
Abstract:
A first reversing inlet path and a second reversing inlet path are branched from a path for transporting a sheet having an image formed thereon by a printer unit. A first reversing path and a second reversing path are connected respectively to the first reversing inlet path and the second reversing inlet path. The sheet having the image formed thereon by the printer unit is transported through the first reversing inlet path or the second reversing inlet path for reversing the sheet. When one of the first reversing inlet path and the second reversing inlet path is unusable, the sheet reversing operation is continued using the other reversing inlet path.
Abstract:
A sheet guiding device has an electromagnetic shield plate disposed between a re-transportation path for a sheet material and a video controller board, with the bottom surface of the electromagnetic shield plate being used as a sheet guiding surface and a portion of the sheet guiding surface protruding towards the re-transportation path to form a guiding section made of metal and integrally formed with the electromagnetic shield plate.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus having a sheet material conveyor includes an image forming unit, a sheet material conveyor on which an image is formed by the image forming unit, a conveying path situated at a downstream side of the conveyor for guiding the sheet material which may be upwardly curved, a paper discharging tray for supporting the sheet material guided through the conveying path, discharging rollers situated at an exit side of the conveying path which can switch between a forward rotation for discharging the sheet material onto the paper discharging tray and a reverse rotation for returning the sheet material in a direction opposite to the direction of discharge, and a reconveying path for accepting the sheet material returned on the conveying path by the reverse rotation of the discharging rollers and for guiding again the sheet material to the image forming unit.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a sheet feeding apparatus which includes a first conveying device for conveying a sheet stack formed in a stepped fashion by offsetting each sheet by a predetermined distance in a predetermined direction toward the predetermined direction or toward an opposite direction, a separating device disposed at a downstream side of the first conveying means in the predetermined direction and adapted to separate an outermost sheet from the sheet stack being fed by the first conveying device, a second conveying device for conveying the sheet separated by the separating device, and control device for controlling the first conveying device in such a manner that the first conveying device is activated to convey the sheet stack in the predetermined direction and the first conveying device is stopped after the sheet separated by the separating device starts to be conveyed by the second conveying device.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic recording apparatus comprising a sheet feeder for feeding a sheet of recording paper to a sheet feed inlet; an image forming unit for forming a printing image onto a photosensitive drum based on printing data and transferring the printing image onto the sheet; and a fixing unit for fixing the transferred image on the sheet, in which these units are arranged vertically. The apparatus further comprises a device for reversing and returning the sheet to the photosensitive drum to enable the photosensitive drum to transfer a second printing image onto the opposite side of the sheet.
