    摘要: A preprocessing unit samples and digitalizes analog signal. A differential operation unit delays digitalized signal for a predetermined period and differentiates delayed signals. A correlation unit correlates differentiated signal with a plurality of predetermined PN code sequences. A setting unit includes a shift register having a plurality of storage locations for shifting the correlation values and sequentially storing shifted correlation values at the storage locations, respectively, a detector including the determination slots for detecting the storage location of the maximum value, and a slot setter for comparing the storage location of the maximum value from the detector with the predetermined reference storage location and shifting the determination slots by the difference therebetween. A demodulation value estimation unit estimates, as a demodulation value of the received analog signal, a symbol of a PN code sequence corresponding to the maximum value from the shifted determination slots.

    摘要: Methods, systems, and computer programs for monitoring quality of audio delivered over a communications channel are presented. One method includes an operation for defining timestamps. The timestamps are associated with a measure of time while delivering audio to a client computer, where each timestamp includes a plurality of timestamp bits. Further, the method includes an operation for modulating an audio signal with pseudo noise (PN) codes when a timestamp bit has a first logical value, and modulating the audio signal with a negative of the PN codes when the timestamp bit has a second logical value. After transmitting the modulated audio signal to the client computer, the timestamp bits are extracted from a received modulated audio signal to obtain received timestamps. The quality of the audio is assessed based on the received timestamps, and the quality of the audio is stored in computer memory.

    摘要: The present invention provides a preamble that is inserted into an OFDMA frame and has a common sequence for all the base stations participating in a transmission. The subscriber station performs fine synchronization using the common sequence on the common preamble, and the resulting peaks will provide the locations of candidate base stations. The base station specific search is then performed in the vicinities of those peaks by using base station specific pseudo-noise sequences. With this two stage cell search, the searching window is drastically reduced. The preamble is matched to known values by a respective receiver to decode the signals and permit multiple signals to be transferred from the transmitter to the receiver. The preamble may comprise two parts, Preamble-I and Preamble-2, which may be used in different systems, including multioutput, multi-input (MIMO) systems.

    摘要: A system and method for detecting a presence and frequency offset of a spread spectrum radio frequency signal is disclosed. The method comprises receiving the spread spectrum radio signal. The signal can be sampled to form a plurality of signal samples. Each signal sample can be multiplied by a complex conjugate of a proximate signal sample to form a plurality of signal sample pairs. The signal sample pairs can be summed over a predetermined dwell time period to form a data vector having a magnitude and angle offset to enable detection of the signal and to enable a frequency offset between the spread spectrum radio frequency signal and a receiver frequency reference to be determined.

    摘要: In a cellular network, a GPS receiver includes circuitry that modulates a global positioning system (GPS) timing pulse signal with a carrier signal and transmits the modulated signal to one or more remote base stations. When the modulated timing pulse signal is received at a remote base station it is demodulated and a timing pulse signal corresponding to the GPS timing pulse signal is recovered. The remote base station may be configured to transmit a reply signal back to the GPS receiver, which can then be used to estimate a propagation delay between the GPS receiver and the remote base station.

The method includes generating a synchronization pattern with good randomness properties; packing a signal for transmission with m headers, each header consisting of the synchronization pattern 1/m symbol-time shifted from the previous header; and transmitting the signal. A further method provides for the sampling the transmitted signal with m headers of symbol-time shifted synchronization patterns; and determining symbol timing offset by computing and reordering correlation peaks from the synchronization patterns. A system includes a transmitting system, a receiving system, and a data channel. The transmitted signal includes m headers with 1/m symbol-time shifted synchronization patterns. The receiving system undersamples the transmitted signal with m synchronization patterns to simulate an oversampled synchronization pattern.
