    摘要: This invention is a novel plastic bag and method of making it with a handle that extends upward through a folded-back top compartment, and the end of a front of the bag has a pocket with a similar folded-over top edge of the back of the bag. The bags of this invention are made from a continuous sheet, preferably a roll of plastic web that has its opposite side edges folded inwardly along opposite edges of the web to make the folded edges at the front and back sides of the bag. The web is then folded along its longitudinal center region with a gusset that forms the bottom of each bag. The bags have surfaces that are welded together to join areas of the front and of the back where necessary to weld plastic areas together, and certain areas do not weld where the plastic sheet is coated on areas that prevent heat applied to the plastic from fusing together.

    摘要: Synthetic plastic bags are produced and goods packaged therein by forming a series of bags individually complete but successively connected in, yet easily torn off from, a long strip wound as produced into a supply roll shipped to the point of use, the strip being unwound to present each successive bag dependently and with mouth open to a feed chute to receive goods to be packaged. An advancing continuous flattened thermoplastic film tube, produced either by extrusion or by longitudinally folding and seaming single sheet stock, with application of reinforcement for grip hole cut outs longitudinally spaced at the bag height, is transversely seam welded to form the bottom of one bag and, adjacently parallel to the bottom seam, perforated and severed in the respective tube layers to form the mouth top opening of the trailing next bag; the resultant bag strip being wound with the severed side outermost. Bag constructions with and without expansible side folds and also apparatus for manufacturing the former are described.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and a device (16) for gas filling and sealing of a duct (7) intended to be filled with gas and positioned in a container (1) of a collapsible type. The duct (7) is defined by two opposite side walls (2) which are joined along a connecting portion (4) and comprises an inlet (15) arranged in one of the side walls (2). A part of the container (1) that comprises the inlet (15) is clamped between an abutment (17) and a gas module (20) which is axially movable towards the abutment (17). Clamping occurs in such a manner that one of the two side walls (2) included in the duct (7) is allowed, in response to a gas flow supplied from the gas module (20) and entering the duct (7) through said inlet (15), to bulge to form a free passage into the duct (7) for filling the same with gas. After completion of the gas filling, the duct (7) is sealed. The invention also relates to a container blank (10) having a duct (7) which is specially developed for the method and the device (16).

A rope feeder is provided along the horizontal axis of the cylinder to feed a rope stock into the channel. A cutoff blade is used to severe a rope length from the rope stock. A push-up blade mounted in the channel moves upward when the cylinder rotates and the channel reaches a twelve o'clock position, to raise the rope length above the mentioned plane. The forming plates are movable toward each other along the plane to retain and form the rope length into an U-shaped form.
