    摘要: The invention relates to a method and a forming apparatus for deforming a hollow tubular workpiece, wherein the workpiece is clamped down in a clamping device, a first forming tool is placed into contact with the outer surface of the workpiece, the tool is rotated about an axis of rotation relative to the workpiece and one end of the workpiece is deformed by means of said first tool. A second forming tool is placed into contact with the outer surface of the workpiece and is rotated relative to the workpiece about an axis of rotation. The other end of the workpiece is deformed by means of said second tool and at least one of said tools is moved relative to the workpiece during said deformation and/or between deforming steps (On the same workpiece), wherein the axis of rotation of said tool is translated and/or pivoted about an axis with respect to said workpiece.

    摘要: Process and apparatus for preventing defects in the symmetry of rolled H-beams or I-beams, i.e., a faulty position of their webs (4) in relation to their flanges (5), by correcting such defects in situ. The differential between the torques applied to the upper and lower rolls (1,2) of the rolling stand is determined and compared to a predetermined threshhold value (.delta.). Any excess of the measured value over the threshhold value is eliminated by correction of the elevation of the inlet table of the rolling stand so as to reduce the measured value to below the threshhold value.

    摘要: The primary blank 1, which is to be transformed into a finished rail by means of universal passes, edging passes and a finishing pass, is characterized by a symmetric `.UPSILON.` section the thickness of which always varies in the same way. It is designed to be shaped exclusively in open grooves.This primary blank 1 is roughed in a specific manner in a universal stand and undergoes a strong forging which improves the quality of the finished rail. A secondary blank is then formed which has a special shape allowing the production by universal rolling of a very accurate profile of the finished rail.

    摘要: A process for hot rolling an H-shaped metallic material from a workpiece of rectangular cross section which comprises reducing the workpiece in the width direction thereof while wedgewise knifing the opposing sides of the workpiece by means of a first pair of grooves formed in rolls of a vertical roll stand; reducing the workpiece in the width direction thereof while spreading the knifed sides by means of a second pair of grooves which may be formed in rolls of another vertical roll stand or in the rolls having said first pair of grooves; and subsequently rolling the workpiece to a required size by universal rolling mills. This process thus enables a starting material of a rectangular cross section to be employed instead of that of H-shaped cross section.

    摘要: A compact rolling mill for rolling sections includes rolling stands such as universal rolling stands and two-high rolling stands arranged along several rolling lines. Provided in the rolling lines are longitudinal conveyors for transporting the rolling stock along these rolling lines and cross conveyors for transporting the rolling stock between the rolling lines. At least two universal rolling stands are combined with one two-high edging stand to define a universal tandem compact group which together with further universal stands and two-high rolling stands may be displaced from one rolling position to another rolling position in a same rolling line or in a different rolling line. The drive unit is directly coupled to the stands along the outermost rolling line while the other remaining stands are indirectly connected to the drive unit transversely across the other rolling lines via other rolling stands.
