The workpiece material is rolled in such that at a completion of bending, a thickness of a cross section of a first thickness portion is m, an outer radius of the first thickness portion is R, an inner radius of the first thickness portion is r, and a thickness of a cross section of a second thickness portion is n, and M equals to m(R/r), and N equals to n(R/r).

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and device for producing metal sections having two profile flanges arranged opposite one another and having flange inner faces that are to be kept apart from each other by a closely toleranced final chamber dimension. In order to adapt the chamber dimension from a starting chamber dimension K0 to a desired final chamber dimension K1, the metal section is passed through the device, which forms working gaps between an inner working roll pair and outer support rolls. The working rolls that form the inner working roll pair roll over each other in order to brace the forming forces exerted on the working roll pair from the flange inner faces against each other.

    摘要: A method of forming and using a metal I-beam includes hot rolling an elongated metal workpiece to establish a web and a pair of flanges on the edges thereof. The web is formed with elongated reinforcement of solid cross-section having a generally straight longitudinal axis oriented generally parallel to the flanges. The hot rolled I-beam is cooled without forming substantial waves in the web and the I-beam is subsequently secured in a building construction or other structural product. The method involves the longitudinally oriented reinforcing means which preferably are one or more elongated laterally projecting ribs having such mass that the average temperature of the web prior to cooling will be sufficiently close to the average temperature of the flanges prior to cooling that the formation of waves within the web during cooling will be resisted. The reinforcement if preferably coextensive with the I-beam. The web is preferably substantially continuous. A corresponding I-beam and the use of the I-beam in a load bearing position in a building or other structural product are disclosed.

    摘要: A pair of edging rolls for edging the flange edges of symmetrical steel sections, particularly I-girders. Each edging roll has a barrel engaging in the inner contour of the steel section and guiding the section, and two edging paths adjoining the barrel on either side and extending outwardly in a conical shape for the flange edges of the section. The edging paths are arranged at the outer circumference of bushings which are guided so as to be displaceable coaxially at both sides of the barrel on the roll body. The bushings have end faces which face one another and engage in annular recesses of the barrel.

    摘要: In the fabrication of H-piles, I-beams, channels, tees, angles, double-tee structural shapes and similar rolling stock, a first structural shape segment or web is joined to at least one second structural shape segment or flange which may be bent outwardly. After the edging passes, during finishing, the flange or flanges are bent inwardly when the shape or stock is subjected to a final bending pass. A new bending method uses the principle of a three-roll bending process. An alternative bending solution includes a bending process with backup rolls for the first structural shape segment or web which do not touch the inner surfaces of the flanges or second structural shape segments.

    摘要: A rolling train for rolling girder sections includes at least one two-high reversing roughing stand and a plurality of subsequent universal stands for work rolling and finish rolling. Two universal stands and an upsetting stand are combined to form a reversing tandem group. A universal sizing stand for passing rolling is arranged immediately subsequent to the tandem group. The universal stands of the tandem group have double-cone shaped vertical rolls and the universal sizing stand has cylindrical vertical rolls. The girder section is rolled in several successive passes with the flanges of the section being directed outwardly and the outwardly directed flanges are rolled so as to extend parallel in a last smoothing pass.
