    摘要: An extremely large aircraft which is suitable for overseas cargo transport and which includes a fuselage defining a central storage cavity, a wing assembly defining a pair of wing storage cavities, an altitude control system, and a plurality of independently steerable landing gear units. The central storage cavity has a length, height and width of at least 100 feet, at least 16 feet and at least 24 feet, respectively. The wing assembly has a wingspan of at least 300 feet and is configured with a moderate aspect ratio to permit both ground-effect and high altitude operation. The altitude control system controls the aircraft in ground effect such that the aircraft is maintained at about a predetermined altitude. The landing gear units are coupled to the fuselage and are arranged in at least two discrete columns and at least ten discrete rows. The central storage cavity and the wing storage cavities are configured to receive cargo including intermodal re-usable cargo containers.

    摘要: A miniature, unmanned aircraft having interchangeable data handling modules, such as sensors for obtaining digital aerial imagery and other data, and radio transmitters and receivers for relaying data. The aircraft has a microprocessor for managing flight, remote control guidance system, and electrical supply system. The data handling modules have an aerodynamic housing and manual fasteners enabling ready installation and removal. One or more data acquiring sensors or data transferring apparatus and support equipment such as batteries and communications and power cables are contained within the module. A plurality of different modules are preferably provided. Each module, when attached in a preferred location below the wing, does not significantly alter the center of gravity of the airframe. Preferably, each module contains the supervisory microprocessor so that the microprocessor need not be part of the airframe.

The system includes a new design for the insulation blanket with permeable and impermeable membranes and a blanket nullclipnull allowing for cable pass-through. The method stabilizes blanket construction method, minimizes moisture retention and promotes a design based provisioning strategy to accommodate system run access to the airplane skin through a simplified interface detail. Both the insulation blanket and the blanket clip attach to the aircraft frame via a nullzip-locknull attachment system in which consists of vertical rails with receiving detail to receive the (blanket and clip) zip-lock strips, and a cap strip that covers (and secures) the zip-lock strips. The invention solves the moisture retention and reduces product weight and installation time and the quantity of Mylarnull used to encapsulate the fiberglass material.
