    摘要: A WIG (wing in ground effect) vessel includes a hull with wings attached. The WIG vessel includes means for propulsion as well as altitude and directional control. The lift of the wings in ground effect is augmented by partial aerostatic lift, achieved through interior gas holding envelopes containing a lighter-than-air gas. The wings have a high mean chord length, for example fourteen meters or more, allowing the vessel to fly in ground effect above water at an altitude where waves are of minimal concern. The vessel has a low wing loading, below 1.5 kg/m2, and the wings are of uniform thickness and have an aspect ratio of less than 1. The conical fore end of the hull forces air below the surface of the wings for ground effect. Weight transfer is used to alter the pitch of the vessel.

    摘要: The group of inventions relates to aviation and to transport means having (static and dynamic) air discharge, in particular to self-stabilizing wing-in-ground-effect craft of types A, B and C. The following technical results are achieved: increased flight safety and maneuvering safety, increased load-bearing capacity and flight height in ground effect mode, reduced dimensions, improved take-off and landing characteristics, as well as amphibian characteristics and economic efficiency, increased functionality and a wider range of operational alignments, and greater ease of use and maintenance. This result is achieved by simultaneously applying the methods for generating a system of aerodynamic forces, the structural solutions and the piloting methods conceptually linked therewith which are proposed in the present group of inventions to “flying wing” or “composite wing” design layouts.

    摘要: Provided is a positive-pressure floating type airplane comprising an airfoil portion, left-right fuselages, a central fuselage, an elevator and a rudder disposed at the back of the airfoil portion, a thruster disposed at the back of the central fuselage, and a horizontal stabilizer disposed at the rear ends of the left-right fuselages. The individual front ends of the airfoil portion, the left-right fuselages and the central fuselage are formed into arcuate shapes in longitudinal sections. On the lower side of the airfoil portion, a recessed air capture is formed from the front end to the rear end. As a result, the positive-pressure floating type airplane is floated by the reaction from the air at the time when the air to pass the air capture through the airfoil portion is pushed by the thrust of the thruster, and is propelled forward by the component of that thrust.

    摘要: An wing-in-ground-effect craft (11) having a loaded canard forewing (13) and a main forward delta configuration wing (15) attached to fore (17) and mid (19) sections of a body (21) respectively. The body (21) is formed with an integral planning hull (23) for amphibious applications, extending rearward to a tail section (25) which incorporates a ducted fan (27), and a vertical stabiliser (29). Rudder (31) is located in the exhaust of the ducted fan (27) for steering the craft (11), and serves as a stator to reduce spiral induced in the airflow exiting the duct (27). The canard forewing (13) has about 12% of the area of the main wing (15), and has inner portions (35) having a dihedral configuration disposed at a first angle of inclination from the vertical of 68° (equating to a dihedral angle of 22°), and outer portion (37) disposed at a first angle of inclination from the vertical of about 91° (equating to an anhedral angle of about 1°). The inner portions (35) have an angle of attack of 7.5%, while the outer portions (37) have an angle of attack of 4.5°. The main wing (15) has a flat to slightly anhedral configuration and an angle of attack of from 4° to 4.5°. The main wing (15) incorporates a pontoon float (39) attached on the outer end of each main wing (15). The canard forewing (13) has control surfaces in the form of elevons (41) attached behind the inner portions (35).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a surface effect craft comprising a supporting deck structure having two pontoons mounted thereto in catamaran like fashion. A propulsion mechanism is mounted to a rear portion of the deck structure. A lift control member is disposed under the deck structure between the two pontoons. The lift control member is pivotally movable mounted to the front portion of the deck structure. A lift adjust mechanism pivotally moves the lift control member between a first position with the rear end of the lift control member being in close proximity to the surface and a second position with the rear end of the lift control member being in close proximity to the deck structure. Employment of the lift control member enables the craft to achieve surface effect at low speed and, furthermore, allows control of the aerodynamic lift in a wide range from maximum lift to negative lift. This substantially widens the range of surface conditions and speed the craft is operable, such as uneven ground, choppy water surfaces, snow, and ice.

    摘要: The apparatus is a ground effect ship utilizing a wing-hull to support a passenger cabin piggyback style. Each one of the wing-hull segment includes a pontoon member that, in turn, includes a turbine unit of dual use, either compressing water or air, so as to eject a quantity of water or air for generating a coefficient of drag for slowing one part of the apparatus down for maneuving. In a like manner the apparatus includes a plurality of wingvalve elements that draw ambinet air upwardly and conduit that air into a primary airstream so that a coefficient of turbulence induced drag reduces the lift on one wing-hull segment of the apparatus with the result that the apparatus biases a pontoon on the water while elevating another pontoon into the air, substantially parallel with the water's surface. This mode of operation is sailing-flight.
