摘要： A device for separating individual cup-shaped containers from a stack of such containers is provided, including a frame, a separating mechanism, an adjusting mechanism, and a power transmission mechanism. The separating mechanism includes at least a pair of screw rods arranged on opposite sides of the frame and substantially parallel to and spaced from each other to receive the stack therebetween. The power transmission mechanism is coupled to the screw rods by mated gears for driving rotation of the screw rods. The screw rods have screws engaging outer rim of each individual container and having an increased pitch whereby when the screw rods rotate, the container is driven forward in a given direction and is increasingly spaced from the other containers due to the increased screw pitch. The adjusting mechanism is coupled to the screw rods to selectively adjust the distance between the screw rods for accommodating containers of different specifications. Thus, automatic separation of the cup-shaped containers can be achieved, and in addition, the device can be applied to containers of different specifications easily.

摘要： A cup dispenser and process of using the cup dispenser are disclosed. The dispenser releases cups, one-by-one, from the bottom of a stack of cups seated one within the other and frictionally engaged to each other, the cups having a top rim. The apparatus comprises a cups carrier structure (10) adapted to be affixed to a generally vertical stationary support; and, an operator member (22) of generally planar configuration adapted to perform a reciprocating sliding movement within the cups carrier structure between extracted and inserted positions for releasing the cups one at a time. The operator member is the component that separates the bottom cup from the stack above and then dispenses it below. The operating member has two arm-like projections (30) and (28) generally parallel to each other and forming a hollow between them where the cups reside. Each arm-like projection comprises three sections in longitudinal succession relative to each other. The first section (32 or 32′) supports one side of a cup by the rim of a cup and wedges between the rims of two cups in the stack. The second section (34 or 34′) is a recessed portion that allows a cup to pass through the hollow. The third section (36 or 36′) is an arched extension to support one side of a cup by the rim (B) and so that each arm-like portion support the bottom cup in a stack of cups on by diametrically opposite sides of the cup. The process of using the cup dispenser involves pushing a button to slide the operator member to the inserted position and taking the dispensed cup.

摘要： A rotating separator disk is movable between sheet material articles in a stack of sheet material articles. A variable speed drive which is connected with the separator disk and rotates the separator disk. The variable speed drive is operable to vary the speed of rotation of the separator disk between a high speed and a low speed during each revolution of the separator disk. First and second restrictor members engage a sheet material article in the stack of sheet material articles. A suction applicator head is operable to disengage one sheet material article from the first restrictor member. A leading edge of the rotating separator disk is then moved between the one sheet material article and an adjacent sheet material article. As this occurs, the speed of rotation of the separator disk is increased and the one sheet material article is disengaged from the second restrictor member by the separator disk.

摘要： An apparatus for use in handling sheet material articles includes a feed drum which is rotatable to sequentially pull sheet material articles from a hopper. A separator assembly includes a rotatable separator disk in which a plurality of gaps are formed. A plurality of suction applicator heads are rotatable with the separator disk relative to the hopper. Each of the suction applicator heads is aligned with a gap in the separator disk. During rotation of the separator disk and suction applicator heads together relative to the hopper, the suction applicator heads are operable to sequentially apply suction to lower side surfaces of lowermost sheet material article in the hopper. The feed drum pulls one sheet material article from the hopper while a next succeeding sheet material article in the hopper is engaged by a suction applicator head.

摘要： A high speed machine which successively removes unbound book pad strips from the bottom of a stack and feeds them toward a glueing machine. The feeder is adapted for different strip sizes including larger sizes and comprises stack guide device disposed above synchronized, rotating, slotted discs which support the forward edge of the stack bottom. The strips in the stack are provided with cardboard separators therebetween and a knife enters the stack bottom and lifts all except the lowermost strip to permit the leading edge of the first slotted disc to enter. The rotating discs progressively push the leading edge of the lowermost strip downwardly past a group of rollers. These rollers, which are movably mounted, are then depressed to press the lowermost strip against an endless belt. The belt carries the stack to a rotating carriage which will deposit the stack in the glueing machine.
