摘要: Various embodiments of flanged containers that can be stacked in a nested relationship are disclosed so as to provide uniform spacing between the containers to facilitate reliable denesting thereof. The flanges and/or sidewalls of the containers may be provided with features that facilitate alignment and uniform spacing of the nested containers so that a denesting apparatus can reliably denest the containers. Other containers include sidewalls divided into two sections that serve to stabilize stacked container.

摘要: The present invention provides methods and apparatus for purifying metabolites of interest and conducting metabolic analyses. The methods generally involve determining metabolic flux values for a plurality of target analytes by monitoring the relative isotope abundance of a stable isotope in a substrate labeled with the stable isotope and/or one or more target metabolites formed through metabolism of the labeled substrate. Certain methods utilize multiple electrophoretic methods to separate the target analytes from other components within the sample being analyzed. The methods can be used in a variety of applications including screens to identify metabolites that are correlated with certain diseases and diagnostic screens for identifying individuals having, or susceptible to, a disease.

摘要: Procedure for automatic removal of a piece of cheese 10, which is detached from a block of cheese 3 by a cut but is still stuck to the block, and a conveying device 1 feeds the block of cheese in a continuous motion to a detaching device 4 and the detaching device 4 has a removal device, which turns the piece of cheese 10 found on the front side of the block of cheese sideways, removes it in a separating motion and then feeds it into a discharge device 15.

摘要: A downstacker mechanism for storing and delivering pallets one by one to a conveyor for transport thereby to a palletizer machine operative to assemble for packaging empty containers of the type commonly known as cans or tin cans. The mechanism includes a vertically oriented storage magazine in which pallets are retained in stacked juxtaposition one above another. Associated with the storage magazine are a plurality of palletsupport and delivery devices mounted for rotational movement about horizontal axes, and each having a plurality of outwardly extending fingers angularly spaced from each other for selective engagement with pallets comprising such stack thereof so as to control movement of the stack through the magazine. Motor means drivingly connected with the devices synchronously displaces the same step by step so as to cause the same to release in turn each successive lowermost pallet in the stack upon demand from a discharge conveyor onto which such pallets are delivered.
