    摘要: The tool for handling a cover, in particular covers for sewers or vents, or for manholes, relates to the covers of sewers or vents or manholes, having a substantially planar top surface. The tool includes a holder defining a surface for engaging with the top surface of a cover, a lifting fulcrum, and a handle. The handle has one end spaced apart from the lifting fulcrum. The holder, fulcrum and handle are arranged such that a force exerted by an operator on the one end is transmitted as a force on the holder by the lifting fulcrum. The holder includes a leg connected to the handle and is rigidly configured such that, in the position for lifting a cover, the assembly formed of the cover- and the holder with the leg is rigid. The invention further relates to a method for removing or re-placing such a cover.

    摘要: In some aspects, an in-line passive heave compensator system includes a damper actuator, a fluid vessel, and a hydraulic manifold. The damper actuator extends and retracts in response to an external dynamic load, and the fluid vessel transfers hydraulic fluid between itself and the damper actuator (e.g., back and forth) as the damper actuator extends and retracts. The hydraulic manifold provides the channel of fluid transfer between the damper actuator and the fluid vessel. The hydraulic manifold includes an extension flow control device in an extension fluid path between the damper actuator and the fluid vessel. The extension fluid path receives fluid flow only during extension of the damper actuator. The hydraulic manifold includes a retraction flow control device in a retraction flow path between the damper actuator and the fluid vessel. The retraction flow path receives fluid flow only during the retraction of the damper actuator.

    摘要: A device for moving store display cases or gondolas which are elevated above a support surface by support posts. The device features a body supported for rolling on the support surface by at least one rotationally engaged wheel. The body has an upper surface dimensioned for an engagement with an underside of said horizontal support member supported by a support post which maintains the support post elevated from the support surface to allow a rolling of the display case or gondola on the wheel of the body. The wheel may have a circumferential edge having rotational rollers rotating traverse to the direction of rotation of the wheel, thereby allowing rolling of the body and supported display, in four directions without steering the wheel.

    摘要: Systems and methods for jacking an aircraft structure using beams coupled to seat tracks attached to a floor beam grid structure. Mechanical load distribution plates can have offset lift pin location to allow a certain percentage of the load to be applied to specific seat tracks. Different quantities of seat tracks can be utilized per requirements. Attachment rails that interface with the seat tracks use the same hardware that is used to fasten aircraft seats to the seat tracks. This helps handle the load and prevent damage to the seat tracks. The jacking apparatus also includes load swivels and a hanger link to prevent any side or twisting loads from being applied.

    摘要: A covering system for removably covering a vehicle, such as a boat, that includes a plurality of rotatively anchored swing arms rotatable between a covered position and an uncovered position. Each swing arm includes a mount and a pretensioner formed of one or more stays adjustably attached to part of a shaft of the arm to adjust an applied preload and transfer forces encountered during operation to part of the shaft rotatively anchored by the mount to a grounded structure such as a piling or post of a dock. The swing arms are pivotally connected to an elongate transversely extending carriage from which a cover is suspended with a boom of each arm connected to the carriage by a pivot assembly that also facilitates carriage and cover position adjustment. A pivot limiter can be included that limits or even stops pivoting of the carriage relative to the swing arm boom.

In one embodiment, a mobile support system for supporting a suspended user includes a top supporter, one or more rope support points, an inner parapet guide and an outer parapet guide. The top supporter includes a rolling assembly for travelling along a top surface of a rooftop parapet. The top supporter also includes a support point for a rope to securely suspend the user adjacent to the building exterior. The inner parapet guide, coupled to the top supporter, guides and stabilizes the top supporter by travelling along a vertical inner surface of the rooftop parapet. Similarly, the outer parapet guide, also coupled to the top supporter, guides and stabilizes the top supporter by travelling along an opposing outer surface of the rooftop parapet.
