摘要: In a lift-up buckle device, a slider and a shoe move forward and a buckle is moved to a stowed position. The shoe impacts against a protruding portion at a lower portion of a damper and interferes with a housing via the lower portion of the damper. Thus, the forward movement of the slider and shoe is stopped, while the damper absorbs an impact against the slider and shoe. Therefore, an amount of the impact against the slider and shoe that is absorbed by the damper may be increased by the protruding portion, and the damper may absorb the impact against the slider and shoe effectively.

摘要: A belt retractor comprises a frame (10), a belt reel (12) rotatably arranged in the frame (10) and having a first end (16) and an opposite second end (17) as well as comprising a blocking mechanism (18) arranged at an end face of the belt reel (12) by which the belt reel (12) can be blocked within the frame (10). The belt retractor further comprises an axially extending first load limiter which is releasably coupled to the belt reel (12) by means of a disconnecting clutch (24), a second load limiter which is coupled to be rotationally fixed to the first load limiter or a hub, and a third load limiter which can be coupled to be rotationally fixed to the belt reel (12) by means of a connecting clutch (38). Moreover, a method for controlling such belt retractor is provided.

摘要: In this webbing take-up device, a first bend portion, a second bend portion, and a third bend portion are formed in a wire. In an initial state of the wire, the wire is supported by a second squeezing portion by being abutted against the second squeezing portion on a base end side in the longitudinal direction thereof from the second bend portion, and is supported by a third squeezing portion by being abutted against the third squeezing portion on a base end side in the longitudinal direction thereof from the third bend portion. As a result, the timings when the wire starts to be squeezed by each one of a first squeezing portion, the second squeezing portion, and the third squeezing portion can each be mutually offset.

摘要: A restraint system includes a housing defining a cavity tapering to an end and a plug disposed in the cavity. The plug is larger than the end of the housing. A seatbelt buckle is fixed relative to one of the housing and the plug and is moveable from a first position to a second position relative to the other of the housing and the plug. The plug is moveable relative to the housing toward the end during movement from the first position to the second position. One of the housing and the plug is plastically deformable by the other of the housing and the plug during movement from the first position to the second position.

摘要: Vehicular control method to avoid collisions in which a smartphone is coupled to the vehicle while in a vehicular compartment. Data is generated from vehicle-resident sensors about operation of the vehicle and transferred from the vehicle to the smartphone while the smartphone is coupled to the vehicle. A communications network with another vehicle is established using the smartphone and the data transferred from the vehicle to the smartphone and data from sensors on the smartphone is transmitted via the smartphone and established communications network to other vehicle, the data including data about location and movement of the vehicle. Then, while the smartphone is coupled to the vehicle, a vehicular operational function is controlled based in part on data transmitted using the smartphone and established communications network to cause movement of the vehicle to change in order to avoid a collision with the other vehicle.
