    Abstract: A walled structure for an appliance comprising: (i) an inner wall portion defining a reception compartment, the reception compartment having a width; (ii) an outer wall portion facing the inner wall portion and at least partially surrounding the inner wall portion, the outer wall portion separated from the inner wall portion by a space, the outer wall portion being disposed further away from the reception compartment than the inner wall portion, the outer wall portion having a width parallel to the width of the reception compartment; (iii) an interior volume including the space between the inner wall portion and the outer wall portion; and (iv) an aperture through the outer wall portion providing access to the interior volume, the aperture having a width parallel to the widths of the reception compartment and the outer wall portion that is at least 25 percent of the width of the outer wall portion.

    Abstract: The present disclosure refers to a household refrigeration appliance and, more specifically, to a household refrigeration appliance with a multifunctional shelf. A multifunctional shelf arrangement is provided, including: a shelf comprising a frame that is physically associated to the walls of an internal box by shelf rails; the frame comprising lateral, front and rear portions, as well as at least one accessory physically associated to the shelf by accessory rails defining at least one track for displacement of the accessory. Specifically, in accordance with this disclosure, the frame comprises a plurality of receiving structures and the accessory rails comprise fitting projections which engage directly with the receiving structures of the frame, so that the attachment rails are removably fitted with the receiving structures.

    Abstract: A filling system for a vacuum insulated structure includes a powder processor configured to load an internal cavity of the vacuum insulated structure with a heated and at least partially degassed vacuum insulation material. The powder processor includes a hopper with inner and outer hopper walls. The inner hopper wall includes an air permeable surface. A heater is positioned in a space defined between the inner and outer hopper walls. A feed screw is positioned along an inside edge of the inner hopper wall. A vacuum port is positioned on the outer hopper wall. An aperture exit is positioned at a bottom of the hopper. At least one evacuator is coupled to the vacuum port of the powder processor. The at least one evacuator is configured to couple to a vacuum port of the vacuum insulated structure and apply a vacuum to the internal cavity of the vacuum insulated structure.
