    摘要: A filter circuitry (200) using an active inductor is disclosed. The filter circuitry (200) has a first terminal (In1/Out1) and a second terminal (In2/Out2). The filter circuitry (200) comprises a first transistor (M1) and a second transistor (M2). The filter circuitry (200) further comprises a first switch (S1), a second switch (S2), a first capacitor (C1), a second capacitor (C2) and a resistor (R). The first and second transistors (M1/M2) together with the resistor (R) and the first and second switches (S1/S2) are connected in a current mirror topology. The first and second capacitors (C1/C2) are connected at the first and second terminals of the filter circuitry (200) respectively. The filter circuitry (200) is configurable to either have the first terminal (In1/Out1) as input and the second terminal (In2/Out2) as output or have the first terminal (In1/Out1) as output and the second terminal (In2/Out2) as input by changing on-off states of the first and second switches. The transistors are interconnected in a current-mirror fashion. Depending on the switch position one of the transistors also acts as part of an active inductor such that the circuit functions as a low pass filter with a complex pole pair and a real pole. Depending on the switch position the LPF allows signal flow in either direction. For use in a TDD environment in combination with a passive mixer (420).

The injection waveform generator generates the output voltages such that a difference between the common mode voltage and a total injection voltage obtained by summing the injection voltages to be superimposed by the plurality of common mode transformers is equal to or smaller than an allowable value.

    摘要: A filter capacitor discharge circuit includes a high-voltage terminal, a signal preparation circuit, a low-pass filter, a voltage level detector, a timer unit, and a switch unit. The signal preparation circuit receives a detection signal corresponding to an AC voltage from the high-voltage terminal, and generates a voltage signal according to the detection signal. The low-pass filter provides a filtered signal according to the voltage signal. The voltage level detector checks whether a voltage difference between the voltage signal and the filtered signal is less than a predetermined value. When the voltage difference is less than the predetermined value, the timer unit performs time calculation to accumulate a timing result. When the timing result exceeds a predetermined time, the switch unit is turned on so that the firster capacitor is discharged through the switch unit.

    摘要: The invention relates to a tunable, silicon-based negative-resistance circuit (10, 30) and to an active filter (50) for E-band frequencies (60 to 90 GHz). A base of a transistor (11) is connected to an on-chip inductive transmission line (13) which has a length of approximately a quarter-wavelength at a frequency of 83.5 GHz. The transmission line connects a DC voltage source (14) to the base terminal of the transistor (11) in order to bias the base. Another DC voltage source (15) is connected to the collector of the transistor (11) to bias the transistor. A capacitor (16) operatively bypasses or decouples the voltage source (15) in order to shunt high frequencies or alternating current (AC) signals to ground. The emitter terminal of the transistor (11) is connected to ground through a resistor (18) to limit the collector current (le). The circuit gives rise to improved quality factor of resonators.
