    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus comprises an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet; a suction motor provided in the air flow path; and a cyclone bin assembly comprising first and second stage cyclones. The first stage cyclone is provided in the air flow path and comprises a first stage cyclone chamber having a first stage second end wall that is spaced from a first stage first end wall. The second stage cyclone is provided in the air flow path downstream of the first stage cyclone and comprises a second stage cyclone chamber having a second stage second end wall that is spaced from a second stage first end wall. The first stage second end wall and the second stage second end wall are concurrently openable and the second stage second end wall may be moveable separately from the first stage second end wall.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a first air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet with a suction motor and a cyclone positioned in the first air flow path. The cyclone has a cyclone chamber, a first airflow passage, and a second airflow passage. The first airflow passage and second airflow passage are isolated from each other. The first airflow passage defines a first tangential air inlet to the cyclone chamber and the second airflow passage defines a second tangential air inlet to the cyclone chamber. The second tangential air inlet is positioned around the perimeter of the cyclone chamber sidewall downstream from the first tangential air inlet in the direction of rotation of air in the cyclone chamber.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a first air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet with a suction motor and an air treatment member positioned in the first air flow path. A second air flow path extends from an ambient air inlet to a secondary air outlet. An energy storage chamber having at least one energy storage member is positioned in the second air flow path. Ambient air can be drawn through the second air flow path to promote cooling of the energy storage members. A fan unit and/or an air foil can be used to draw ambient air into the second air flow path.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a hand vacuum cleaner, a surface cleaning head and a rigid air flow conduit. The hand vacuum cleaner has a main body housing a suction motor and fan assembly. The hand vacuum cleaner also has an air inlet centrally positioned on a front end of an air treatment member, the air inlet is releasably connectable with the air outlet of the rigid wand. The hand vacuum cleaner also has a hand vacuum cleaner electrical connector provided on the front end of the air treatment member adjacent the hand vacuum cleaner air inlet, the hand vacuum cleaner electrical connector is releasably connectable with the outlet end electrical connector.
