    Abstract: A transparent composition having UV protection effect is provided, wherein the UV protection effect is improved after the composition is contacted with moisture, such as water or sweat, more than that immediately after the composition is applied, while maintaining high transparency. The transparent composition contains (a) a UV absorbent, (b) an oil component having a refractive index in the range from 1.5 to 1.7, (c) an oil component having a refractive index of not less than 1.3 and less than 1.5, and (d) a powder having a refractive index in the range from 1.45 to 1.55, wherein a mixed oil component obtained by mixing the (b) oil component having a refractive index in the range from 1.5 to 1.7 and the (C) oil component having a refractive index of not less than 1.3 and less than 1.5 has a refractive index in the range from 1.44 to 1.56.

    Abstract: A cosmetic kit provides cosmetics which are customized (personalized) for each user and a cosmetic provision device which uses the kit to supply customized cosmetics. The cosmetic kit includes a plurality of cosmetic bases, and is used for customized cosmetics which are prepared by mixing the plurality of cosmetic bases in accordance with recipe information determined on the basis of user unique information. The cosmetic kit provides that when a container containing at least two cosmetic bases selected from the plurality of cosmetic bases is rotated at a prescribed speed, and a near-infrared measurement of the bases in the container is performed at prescribed time intervals, the time (T) required to obtain an nth measurement, in which the rate of change between the absorbance in the nth measurement and the absorbance in the previous ((n−1)th) measurement is 100%±5%, and the rate of change with respect to the absorbance in the following ((n+1)th) measurement is 100%±5%, is not more than 35 minutes.

    Abstract: A device of an embodiment includes: an optical mechanism; a control computation unit that controls driving of the optical mechanism, acquires a tomographic image of skin by processing an optical interference signal from an optical system, and calculates a network of blood vessels on the basis of the tomographic image; and a display device that displays an image of the network of blood vessels. The control computation unit sets a reference profile obtained by function approximation of an intensity profile in a depth direction of the acquired tomographic image, calculates a difference between an intensity value on the reference profile and an actual intensity value as an outlier V, the intensity values being those in the depth direction in the tomographic image, determines, as blood vessels or blood vessel candidates, coordinates with the outliers V within a predetermined blood vessel determination range, and calculates the network of blood vessels.

    Abstract: [PROBLEM]To provide a mesenchymal stem cell attracting agent, as well as an aging-factor production inhibiting agent, anti-aging agent, and dermal regeneration promoting agent including the attracting agent.[SOLVING MEANS]It was found that iris extract, olive leaf extract, and chamomile extract have a mesenchymal stem cell inducing action, which led to the invention of a mesenchymal stem cell attracting agent. Furthermore, it was discovered that mesenchymal stem cells inhibit aging factor production and activate dermal fibroblasts, whereby an aging-factor production inhibiting agent, anti-aging agent, and dermal regeneration promoting agent including the attracting agent were invented.
