    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for transmitting reference signals (RS) for positioning. A method comprises transmitting or providing an instruction to transmit a first set of RS to a user equipment (UE) in accordance with a first set of RS transmission parameters, receiving a report containing information indicating whether a measurement performed by the UE is limited by a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the first set of RS or a bandwidth of the first set of RS, determining a second set of RS transmission parameters using the received report, wherein the second set of RS transmission parameters is different from the first set of RS transmission parameters, and transmitting a second set of RS to the UE in accordance with the second set of RS transmission parameters, or providing the second set of RS transmission parameters to a base station.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for synchronization signal (SS) blocks in which synchronization signals and broadcast channel transmissions may be transmitted. Broadcast channel transmissions may be demodulated using SS transmissions, reference signal transmissions, or combinations thereof. Broadcast channel transmissions may be transmitted in a subset of SS block time resources, and synchronization signals may be transmitted in another subset of SS block time resources. Reference signals may be transmitted using tones within the broadcast channel time resources, and may be transmitted at a higher density for portions of the broadcast channel transmission bandwidth that are outside of the SS transmission bandwidth. Waveforms for reference signal transmissions, and information provided by reference signal transmissions may be provided.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to communication systems, and more particularly, to interpreting a timing advance (TA) command for members of a timing advance group (TAG), such as different uplink component carriers and/or different bandwidth parts, having different numerologies, such as different subcarrier spacing (SCS). A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a TA command. The UE interprets the TA command differently for different members of a same TAG, associated with different numerologies. The UE applies a timing adjustment when transmitting an uplink transmission to the BS based, at least in part, on the interpretation.

A base station may identify that data is available to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) that is operating in a discontinuous reception mode. The base station may transmit, based at least in part on identifying that the data is available to be transmitted to the UE, a wakeup message to the UE using a first transmit beam. The base station may initiate a beam management procedure based at least in part on identifying that the data is available to be transmitted to the UE, to identify a second transmit beam for the base station to use to transmit the available data to the UE, wherein the second transmit beam comprises a narrower beam width than the first transmit beam.
