Abstract: The invention is directed to an electronic device. The electronic device provides, for display on a display device, a user interface including a first set of columns, two or more columns in the first set of columns each including two or more menu items. The electronic device receives a selection input. In response to receiving the selection input, in accordance with a determination that the selection input corresponds to selection of a first column the electronic device provides, for display on the display device, a second set of columns, two or more of the columns in the second set of columns corresponding to different subsets of menu items that were displayed in the first column that was selected in response to the selection input.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a map application that identifies a transit mute that includes one or more transit legs between a starting location and a destination location. In response to a request to start navigating the identified transit route, the map application of some embodiments provides a first display area for displaying a set of navigation instructions, each of which describes a transit maneuver that is associated with a transit leg of the transit route. The map application also provides a second display area for displaying a map region presentation associated with the navigation instruction that is displayed in the first display area.

Abstract: A method to share map information between an electronic device and other nearby devices using peer-to-peer communication is provided. The method receives identification of different map items such as a route, points of interest, search results, a current map view and sends to a selected nearby device. The method provides different options to select the map items to share. The particular map information to share in some embodiments depends on what is currently displayed and/or selected on the map. When there are several items that can be shared and there is not a clear indication for what the user intends to share, an action list is shown to allow the user to select the information to share. Once a map item to share is selected, the method displays a share list to display a list of nearby devices. The method sends the shared information to selected devices.

An electronic device displays a first user interface including a search affordance and receives an input corresponding to selection of the search affordance. In response, the device displays a plurality of category affordances, including a first category affordance associated with a first category and a second category affordance associated with a second category. The device further receives an input corresponding to selection of the first category affordance and, in response, displays a representation of one or more information items that correspond to the first category and replaces at least a subset of the category affordances with a plurality of subcategory affordances that correspond to the first category. The plurality of subcategory affordances includes a first subcategory affordance associated with a first subcategory and a second subcategory affordance associated with a second subcategory.
