    Abstract: A shoe box is specifically designed to display a light-up footwear. The shoe box has a base, a lateral section, and a cover which create a footwear receiving volume in which the light-up footwear is placed. A viewing port on the lateral section allows a consumer to view the interior of the container, allowing them to see the light-up footwear in a dark environment. A visual instruction on the lateral surface next to the viewing port provides instructions on how to use the shoe box. Shaking the shoe box causes vibration which is detected by a trigger system of the light-up footwear. The trigger system activates an illumination system of the light-up footwear, allowing a consumer to see the full effect of the light-up footwear in a dark environment by looking through the viewing port.

    Abstract: A packaging system for the retail display of an electrical device is disclosed. The packaging includes a “try me” switch to allow a potential customer to activate the electrical device in the store. The product includes a photovoltaic array and rechargeable battery which is intended to be periodically charged by the photovoltaic array. When packaged by the manufacturer, the rechargeable batteries are sufficiently charged to substantially activate the electrical device. When depressed, the “try me” switch interconnects the primary rechargeable battery with the electrical device within the packaging.

    Abstract: A light device and package is disclosed including a light device with a diffuser and a light emitting element arranged so as to generate light through the diffuser which receives electrical power from an electrical power storage device recharged by a photovoltaic device with control circuitry arranged to control power supplied from the electrical power storage device. A test device is included having two conductors connected across a test switch. A device package is included having an opaque and light transmissive package portions and contains the light device and the two conductors. In a first configuration, the test switch is connected between the electrical storage device and the light emitting element via the two conductors, and in a second configuration, the test switch and the two conductors are disconnected from the light device. The test device can be used with multiple light devices and may be secured by a pull-tab.
