Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a communication device has initiated a first communication session with a video content server over a communication network, and identifying that the communication device is downloading short-form video content during the first communication session over a portion of the communication network. Further embodiments include determining a size and duration of pre-loaded short-form video content during the first communication session, and determining the communication device has initiated a second communication session with the video content server over the communication network. Additional embodiments include providing instructions to a network device according to the size and duration of the pre-loaded short-form video content to adjust network resources associated with the portion of the communication network. Abstract: In one example, a processing system including at least one processor may obtain a predicted viewport of a mobile computing device for an immersive visual stream, identify a first plurality of blocks of a frame of the immersive visual stream that are associated with the predicted viewport, encode the first plurality of blocks at a first encoding quality level, and encode a second plurality of blocks of the frame at a second encoding quality level, where the second encoding quality level is associated with a lesser visual quality as compared to the first encoding quality level and where the second plurality of blocks are outside of the predicted viewport. The processing system may then transmit the frame having the first plurality of blocks encoded at the first encoding quality level and the second plurality of blocks encoded at the second encoding quality level to the mobile computing device.

A device can receive a request to validate a transaction requested by a user device, where the transaction can be performed by an application and where the request to validate the transaction can be obtained with a first hash that is created by the user device. The first hash can include a hash of transaction data that is hashed using data stored on the user device. The device can receive an indication that the transaction has been approved, obtain a second hash of the transaction data that is hashed using the data stored on the user device, and determine, based on the first hash and the second hash, whether the transaction should be allowed or blocked.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards inserting user-personalized or other user-related supplementary media content into primary media content being presented to the user. The personalized media content can be inserted into available insertion slots associated with the primary media content.
