Abstract:
A window lifter comprises a cable, a window linkage driven by the cable, a fixed device and a cable redirecting device. The cable redirecting device is rotatably mounted on the fixed device and adapted to automatically lock onto the fixed device upon reaching a predetermined angular position. In addition, the cable redirecting device has a cable guiding portion which is not a figure of revolution about the axis of rotation relative to the fixed device. This window lifting mechanism provides a simple structure with few elements. Its assembly is also simple: the cable-redirecting device is rotatably mounted on the fixed device; it is thereafter rotated for tensioning the cable and then locked in a position where the cable is tensioned.
Abstract:
A window lift mechanism including a rail, cursor and motor for moving a window. The rail provides a guide for the path of the window, when it is attached to the cursor, and houses a stator circuit associated with the motor. The motor also includes a moving element with suitable magnetic elements for generating a magnetic field perpendicular to the stator circuit. When the stator is engaged the magnetic field is cut thereby generating a directional force.
Abstract:

The track support structure (30) has a track (38) and a track support beam (40). Track (38) has an upper horizontal flange (38) and a lower trough (72). The free edge of the trough (72) has an inturned tubular bead (74) and the free edge of upper flange (38) has an inturned tubular bead (74). An angle-shaped track support beam (40) has legs (88) and (90). The free edges of legs (88) and (90) have respective tubular beads (92) and (94). Tubular beads (92), (94) have a diameter between 1½ and 2½ times the diameter of beads (74), (76) on track (38). Embodiments shown in FIGS. 8-10 include an automatic door operator (104) having a channel-shaped support beam (110, 110A) with tubular beads (116, 116A) on laterally extending flanges (112, 112A, 114, 114A).
Abstract:
A vehicle door including a window regulator, a first sash, a second sash, and a metallic elongated member which are incorporated with a base plate as a module which is to be mounted to a door main body. The main body is provided under the window opening of the door and has a housing space configured to house a windowpane. The window regulator is configured to move the windowpane between the window opening and the housing space. Each of the first and second sashes are configured to guide a respective one of the sides of the windowpane when the windowpane is moved by the window regulator. The first and second sashes are provided in parallel with each other. The base plate extends between the first sash and the second sash and is made of a resin material in a plate-shaped form. The metallic elongated member extends between the first sash and the second sash. The window regulator is provided on the elongated member.
Abstract:
A rigid-panel overhead door which is selectively moved up and down to open and close an opening and which is guided generally along door guides on opposed vertical sides of the opening is disclosed. The door includes a first chain disposed along one of the door guides and a second chain disposed along an opposed door guide. The door further includes a plurality of panels, each having a first end and a second end, the panels being of sufficient length to extend substantially across the opening but sufficiently limited in length so as to fit between the first and second chains and not extend beyond them. The door further includes a plurality of connectors for joining the first and second chains respectively to the first and second ends of each of the panels. Also disclosed is a rigid-panel overhead door including a door guide having a first portion which guides the door body vertically, a second portion which guides the door body horizontally, and a third portion which directs the door body into a coiled position for storage when the door is in an overhead position. The door also has a motor operatively connected to the door to move the door body along the door guide to open and close the door. The motor is situated so that a space between the first and third door guide portion is provided. The space is of sufficient size to accommodate locating at least the motor so that the door body does not obstruct access to the motor from at least one direction when the door body is accumulated into an overhead position. A method of making a hinge for use in an interlinked hinge chain for guiding and moving a door between an open and a closed position is also disclosed. The method comprising the steps of (1) defining a desired hinge thickness, height and profile as viewed from a cross section through a thickness of the hinge; (2) providing an extrusion mold which will extrude elongated stock having the desired thickness, height and profile; and (3)cutting or otherwise dividing the extruded length into the desired width for the hinge.
Abstract:
A runner or guide rail for a running mechanism for suspension-mounted dividing walls or partitions. The runner or guide rail is configured as a box-shaped hollow section comprising two U-shaped sections with their U-limbs pointing towards each other. A part of the runner or guide rail is detachable in order to create an inspection opening. This detachable part of the runner rail comprises a web of a U-section and a corresponding U-limb, said U-limb delimiting the guiding slot which a supporting member fits through.
Abstract:
An overhead sectional garage door (10) has a plurality of hinged sections or panels (14) having rollers (16) mounted thereon for movement of the door (10) between open and closed positions. A stiffener (39) is secured to each door section (14) and extends horizontally between opposed sides of the associated door section (14). Each stiffener (39) has a horizontal body (38), an inner vertical mounting flange (41), and an outer bowed flange (42). Vertical mounting flange (41) and bowed flange (42) have free edges and respective inturned beads or curls (44, 46) are formed thereon for stiffening of flanges (41) and (42).
Abstract:
A door system is driven by a motor. The door wings of this door system are guided by rollers (27) on a rail (10) secured in a door frame construction. The driving motor (30) of each door wing is secured onto an operating mechanism receiving the roller (27). It acts on the roller (27) in a positive manner or by friction-grip. The door system with the driving motor (30) fixedly arranged on the door wing and moving jointly with the door wing has a simpler structure as compared to known door systems, and can be manufactured and serviced at favorable cost.
Abstract:
A universal overhead door system includes a pair of horizontal track members, a pair of vertical track members and a pair of track radius members interconnecting the horizontal and vertical track members. A pair of short radius members extend from the track radius members to guide uppermost rollers of an overhead sectional door. The short radius members terminate close to the top of the door opening and thereby eliminate the need to guide the uppermost rollers below the level at which the curved portion of the track radius members begin. The ability to install the short radius members when needed for smaller door opening sizes and low head room environments provides a universal track system for most overhead door installations.
Abstract:
Apparatus for adjusting a frameless window pane moved by a cable window lifter in an automobile. The apparatus includes a first guide rail which has an unlocked and a locked state, and a second guide rail. The first guide rail is freely movable to a limited degree in the unlocked state and fixed in the locked state. A window pane is connected between the first guide rail and the second guide rail such that movement of the second guide rail causes the first guide rail to move when in its unlocked state. A bolt is provided for moving the second guide rail and for locking the first guide rail.
