The present disclosure relates to rotating electric machines which may be used for industrial applications, to a method for manufacturing a rotor of a synchronous reluctance motor, a rotor of a synchronous reluctance motor, and a synchronous reluctance motor. A rotor of a synchronous reluctance motor according to the present disclosure has a cylindrical rotor body part casted from a superparamagnetic material, and ferromagnetic flux guides arranged inside the casted cylindrical rotor body part. The flux guides are arranged to go through from one side of the outer circumference of the cylindrical rotor part to the other side of the outer circumference of the cylindrical rotor part in the direction of the direct axis of the synchronous reluctance motor.

The servicing system is equipped with at least one sensor for converting a physical variable into an electrical variable and/or with at least one actuator for converting an electrical variable into a physical variable and also with a display device for presenting graphical characters. To dynamically provide a relatively high density of information, at least one subregion of the display device outputs a two-dimensional code, the content of which is alternatively made dynamic on the basis of the respective operating state of the field device and can be scanned by a mobile reader.

An exemplary system and method for displaying technical equipment of an industrial plant includes a graphical display unit and a user interface for receiving image handling parameters. A data storing unit provides data relating to the technical equipment in the form of device data and network data describing a communication network of the industrial plant. The device data describes network devices which are all connected to the communication network and belong to the industrial plant, and the network data describes all the communication connections between the network devices. A data processing unit is arranged for retrieving the provided data, transforming all the device data and all the network data into displayable information, and providing the image representations together with other displayable information to the graphical display unit. The graphical display unit is arranged to display the image representations and other displayable information according to the image handling parameters.

A method provides a radial drop winding for an open wound transformer. A plurality of non-electrically conductive posts are arranged to define an interior space. Each post is of generally L-shape having a main body and a leg extending from a bottom end of the main body. During an open winding process, conductive wire is dropped to build up lengthwise along the posts to define at least one generally cylindrical winding segment supported by the legs of the posts.

A propulsion unit is disclosed, which can include a casing, a shaft, a propeller, an annular housing and a rim drive electric motor. The casing can be rotatably supported at a hull of a vessel. The shaft can be rotatably supported with bearings within a lower portion of the casing. A propeller can be attached to an outer end of the shaft protruding from the lower portion of the casing. The annular housing can surround an outer perimeter of the propeller and can form a duct for water flowing through the interior of the annular housing. The rim drive electric motor can include a rotor rim provided on an outer perimeter of the propeller and a stator provided within the annular housing. Oil lubricated roller bearings can be used on the shaft within the casing. The axial length of the propulsion unit can be short.

A mobile device has a location sensor and a data sensor for collecting data that relates to technical equipment. An area component determines that the mobile device is located in an event area with the potential of occurrence of events in categories. A detection component processes data from the data sensor that is indicative of events. The detection component is active if the mobile device is located in the event area. A recorder component records data from the data sensor in combination with the geographic location of the mobile device. The recorder component is active if a particular event that falls into at least one of the categories has been detected

Performances of components of an industrial system are conditionally monitored as a function of key performance indicator data by defining baseline key performance indicator values for raw data obtained by data sensors from the operation of the components, and diagnostic rules to triggering alarms by comparing baseline key performance indicator values to thresholds. Generated alarms are stored in association with the historic raw diagnostic data, times of acquisition of the historic raw data and times of generation of the alarms. Generated alarms are analyzed as a function of the said stored data and times to identify a correlation between different ones of the key performance indicators that are indicative of a required level of intervention, and the diagnostic rules are revised to initiate reporting of generated alarms pursuant to levels of intervention indicated by said correlations.

A system and a method are disclosed for monitoring a condition of a conveyor belt arranged to rotate about at least a motor drive pulley and an idler pulley. A sensor unit can determine at least one sensor signal representing at least one operating variable of the electrical motor. A data processing unit can derive from the sensor signal at least one corresponding time dependent data signal, to detect irregularities in the data signal which indicate that a splice region of the conveyor belt passes the drive pulley and/or the idler pulley, to determine from a change in shape or in frequency of the irregularities, whether the condition of the conveyor belt has changed, and to send a signal which reflects a change in the condition of the conveyor belt to at least one of a display unit, a storage unit and/or a decision making unit.

The present invention is concerned with a method of determining stationary signals for the diagnostics of an electromechanical systems in which electrical rotating machinery is used and in which at least one electrical or mechanical signal is measured during an operation of the electromechanical system. The method is used especially for condition monitoring of electric motors and generators. The method consists of measuring an analog waveform signal (S) of the electromechanical system and then manipulating that signal in various ways to obtain a frequencies spectrum, from which a vector of interest frequencies and corresponding vector of amplitudes are extracted to diagnose the electromechanical system.
