Abstract:
A battery module and a battery safety method are provided herein. The battery module includes at least one connection unit and a determining unit. The at least one connection unit is configured to be detachably and electrically connected to an electronic device. The determining unit is configured to determine whether the battery module is detached from the electronic device through the at least one connection unit. When determining that the battery module is detached from the electronic, the determining unit controls the battery module to enter a shipping mode.
Abstract:
A server rack can include a plurality of server chassis. The server chassis can form a opening configured to receive a removable fan through the opening. The removable fan can including a plurality of shutters, the plurality of shutters can be automatically transitionable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the open configuration the fan can draw in or push out air to cool the components located within the server chassis. In the closed configuration the shutters can prevent air from entering or exiting the server chassis. A flap can be coupled to the server chassis and automatically transitionable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the open configuration the fan is inserted into the server chassis and the flaps are opened into the server chassis. In the closed configuration the fan is removed from the server chassis and the flaps can prevent air from entering or exiting the server chassis.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a data-sharing system, including a media server, a first device and a second device. The media server has a media server address and is configured to store at least one media file. The first device is configured to download the media file from the media server according to the media server address, and play the media file on a media player program. The first device further outputs file information corresponding to the media file according to a switching signal. The second device is configured to receive the file information from the first device, stream the media file from the media server according to the file information, and play the media file on the media player program.
Abstract:
An exposure-control system and an associated exposure control method are provided. The exposure-control system includes: an image capturing unit configured to capture a long-exposure image and a short-exposure image with a first exposure value and a second exposure value, respectively; and a processor, configured to calculate histograms of the long-exposure image and the short-exposure image, and calculate an exposure ratio according to the calculated histograms, the first and second exposure values, wherein when the exposure ratio is smaller than a first threshold, the processor switches a current exposure mode to a low dynamic range mode. When the exposure ratio is larger than a second threshold, the processor switches the current exposure mode to a high dynamic range mode. When the exposure ratio is between the first threshold and the second threshold, the processor does not switch the current exposure mode.

A wearable electronic device includes a device body having a wireless communication module, a wearing unit connected to the device body for being worn on a user, an antenna module entirely embedded inside the wearing unit, and a conductive unit is partially disposed in the wearing unit and electrically connected to the antenna module and the wireless communication module.
Abstract:
A computer system can obtain BIOS data from a network storage by a management controller of the computer system. The computer system can emulate a BIOS memory by the management controller based on the BIOS data and initialize the computer system with the BIOS memory emulated by the management controller.
Abstract:
In some implementations, a riser card can be configured to connect to multiple PCIe connectors on a motherboard of a computing device. The riser card can be configured to route signals from an accessory installed in the riser to the CPU of the computing device through multiple PCIe connectors. The riser card can be configured to connect to a PCIe connector on the motherboard using cabling.

Abstract:
An optical touch system includes a screen, an image-erasing device, an image-sensing module, a processing unit, and an image processor. The image-erasing device includes a body and reflection portions on the body. The image-erasing device is detachably contacted with the screen. The image-sensing module includes a light source emitting a light beam to the reflection portions to respectively generate a reflected light beam, and an image sensor detecting the reflected light beams. The processing unit obtains positions on the screen respectively corresponding to the reflection portions according to the reflected light beams, and defines position information of an erasing region according to the positions on the screen. The image processor outputs a display image to be displayed on the screen, and erases data of the display image corresponding to the erasing region according to the position information.
Abstract:
Embodiments generally relate to link state change detection and notification within a server with embedded or directly integrated network switch. In a server configuration in which there is no longer a distinct separation between a network switch and a network interface card (NIC), the server can no longer immediately detect a change in the link state of any of the switch's ports. This can lead to connection failure. A Link State Policy Table is thus implemented within the embedded or integrated switch, capable of changing the NIC link state according to one or more pre-defined or user-defined policy settings. The server is then notified of the change in the NIC link state, and can release an old IP address or request a new IP address accordingly.
