    Abstract: Method for controlling a wearable user device, which is a sensor and/or information device including establishment of a wireless communication link between the user device and a gateway, transmission of a connection event message to the process control system, wherein the connection event message contains an identifier of the user device, an identifier of the gateway and information on the successful establishment of the communication link, transmission of sensor data from the user device to the process control system, generation of at least one control instruction by the process control system in response to the received sensor data, wherein the control instruction is generated depending on the identifier of the gateway and depending on the received sensor data, and transmission of the at least one control instruction to the user device. Furthermore, a wearable user device as well as a control system are disclosed.

    Abstract: A code reader may include a housing configured to be wearable by a user, a scanning unit configured to scan machine-readable indicia of a target area, a user interface connected to the housing and configured to present identification data associated with the machine-readable indicia to the user, a power source disposed within the housing, a processing unit disposed within the housing, and a plurality of electrical conductors in electrical communication with the processing unit and the user interface. The processing unit may be configured to communicate a scan signal to the scanning unit to cause the scanning unit to scan the target area, receive response data from the scanning unit representative of the machine-readable indicia, generate the identification data in response to receiving the response data, and communicate the identification data to the user interface for display thereon. The electrical conductors may provide power and enable signals to be communicated.

    Abstract: A phone case designed to secure a phone to a user's hand while permitting the user to readily rotate the phone and case relative to his hand without requiring the user to release the phone from his hand. A case body has at least one slot, a portion of which is arcuate. A strap extends from a strap connector on the inside of the case body, outwardly through one of the slots, across a portion of the outside of the case body, inwardly through a slot, and to a strap connector on the inside of the case body. The size of the strap permits a user to slide one or more fingers between the strap and the outside of the case body. The strap slides within the slot(s) when the phone case is rotated relative to a user's hand.
