Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory, machine-readable media are disclosed for audio adaption of content items to device operations of an endpoint media device. First observation data corresponding to media device operations associated with a first media device and mapped to first content items may be processed. A first content composite including an adaptable content item may be received. The first content composite may be adapted with a first audio segment. Based on the first observation data, the first audio segment may be selected. The first content composite may be configured with the first audio segment so that the adapted first content composite plays the first audio segment when the adapted first content composite is presented. The adapted first content composite may be output for presentation, where the first endpoint media device or the second endpoint media device performs at least one operation relating to the adapted first content composite.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for audio/video recognition and adaptive packet transmission are disclosed. A first content item that includes audio content and video content may be received and processed to detect a set of one or more video characteristics and/or a set of one or more audio characteristics that may be analyzed to identify the first content item as corresponding to a service provider system. The first content item may be transferred for display with an endpoint media device. Abstract: A technique is described for generating a unified list (e.g., a list ribbon) of programs from a variety and disparate channels, the list for display on an over-the-top (OTT) client device. As an example, the unified list can be generated from OTT live channels and from over-the-air OTA and/or Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) live channels. Further, the unified list can include OTT recordings on the cloud and OTA/ATSC recordings on the local hard drive connected to an OTA local DVR. Thus, the OTT device Client obtains the list from the DVR backend, instead of going to the local OTA client box for the local recordings.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for automated battery replacement. In example aspects, a notification is transmitted to a central hub from an IoT device, alerting the central hub of battery status information. Based on the battery status information, a robot may be deployed from the hub to replace the battery or batteries on the IoT device. The robot may be land-based, air-based, or sea-based, among other configurations and combinations. The robot may engage the IoT device by connecting an external power source, which triggers an authentication procedure to verify the authenticity of the IoT device and the robot. Upon successful authentication, the main battery compartment hatch may be opened. In some example aspects, the main battery compartment hatch is controlled using magnets (e.g. electromagnets). A successful authentication process may result in a change of magnetic force, which may cause the battery compartment hatch to open. Upon opening of the battery compartment hatch, the robot may remove the old battery and insert a new battery. The IoT device may run at least one test on the new battery to ensure proper functionality. Upon verifying proper functionality, the IoT device and robot may disengage, and the IoT device may resume normal operations with the newly installed battery.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating supplemental content for a program content stream include functionality that generates supplemental content such as educational questions. The questions may be generated based on the content of the program as learned by the system performing natural language processing (NLP) of the verbal content of the program content stream as the program is being presented on a television or mobile device. The system may pause the programming during presentation of the questions on the television or mobile device. The programming is then resumed once a correct answer is received or a timer runs out, whichever occurs first. The generated supplemental content may also be saved as metadata associated with the program for subsequent presentation when the program is played again for the viewer or other viewers.

Schedule information is generated based on the efficiency model that indicates time periods at which areas in the defined geographic region are to be watered.

Abstract: A television service provider system includes interactive elements embedded within advertisements or other content related to a particular product or service that a user may select to receive an initially non-redeemable coupon for the product. The system then electronically communicates to the seller or advertiser system the indications of such electronic interactivity between the viewers of content and content related to the product being sold or advertised. The advertiser or seller may then electronically activate and thus convert the non-redeemable coupon into a redeemable coupon. A system for processing retail transactions redeems the coupons for the product for a particular user using an identifier of the user associated with the account of the user with the television service provider.
