Abstract:
A socket with a detection function includes a housing; a plurality of metal spring pins installed side by side in the housing; a first detection pin formed on a side of the plurality of metal spring pins and coupled to a system ground; and a second detection pin formed on another side of the plurality of metal spring pins and coupled to a pull up resistor for providing a high voltage level for the second detection pin. The second detection pin includes an elastic metal arm extending toward the first detection pin and formed on the top of the first detection pin. A first metal spring pin is deflected to press down the elastic metal arm of the second detection pin for contacting the first detection pin when a phone cable plug is inserted into the socket.
Abstract:
A foldable mobile computing device and the operating method are disclosed, wherein the foldable mobile computing device comprises a first main-body, a second main-body and a pivotal axis. The first main-body has a first surface with a display unit mounted thereon and a second surface; the second main-body has a fourth surface and a third surface having a touch interface set thereon functioning as a keyboard when the foldable mobile computing device is operated with a keyboard input paradigm; and the pivot axis couples the first main-body and the second main-body. When the second surface and the fourth surface are clapped together, the foldable mobile computing device is operated with a non-keyboard input paradigm; and when the first surface and the third surface are driven to form an angle values in a certain range, the non-keyboard input paradigm is shifted to the keyboard input paradigm.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for identifying dimensions of shot subject, implemented on an identification system including a photo shooting unit capable of adjusting focal lengths. The method includes steps of using the photo shooting unit to focus on plural positions respectively having different field depths on a shot subject and respectively capture a image thereof, determining whether resolutions of the captured images are same, and if so, the shot subject is a two dimensional object, otherwise, the shot subject is a three dimensional object.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a side plate of an electronic-device casing including a side plate assembled to a side portion of a casing. The side plate includes a plate member, a first engagement member, a second engagement member, a plurality of linkages, and an actuating member. The first and the second engagement members are moveably disposed on the plate member respectively along a first direction and a second direction. The linkages are pivotally engaged with the plate member and are moveably engaged with the first and the second engagement members. The actuating member is moveably engaged with the linkages. When the actuating member rotates, the actuating member drives the linkages to rotate so that the first and the second engagement members are driven to move relatively to the plate member respectively along the first direction and the second direction to be engaged with the side portion or disengaged from the side portion.
Abstract:
A computer system includes a triggering device; and a motherboard, connected to the triggering device, further comprising: a memory stored with a setting parameter of a basic-input-output-system; and a counter connected between the triggering device and the memory; wherein an erasing signal, for erasing the memory, is outputted to the memory from the counter according to a triggering signal outputted from the triggering device while a boosting procedure cannot be successfully executed by the computer system.
Abstract:
An electronic system and a method for driving an electronic device are disclosed. The method for driving the electronic device includes steps as follows. A storage medium is provided. The storage medium has a file system accessible by a BIOS and stores program codes for driving the electronic device. Then, the electronic device is driven by a driver stored in the storage medium. Afterwards, stream data transmitted by the electronic device is received and outputted.
Abstract:
A mobile communication device includes a control circuit unit, a first interface, a status change detecting circuit, and an embedded controller. The control circuit unit is operated in either a normal working mode or a power-saving mode. The first interface is connected with the data card and the control circuit unit. The status change detecting circuit is connected with the first interface. The embedded controller is connected with the status change detecting circuit and the control circuit unit. If the control circuit unit is operated in the power-saving mode and the data card is switched from a standby status to a working status, the data card generates a status-changing signal to the status change detecting circuit. In response to the status-changing signal, the control circuit unit is controlled to be switched from the power-saving mode to the normal working mode by the embedded controller.
Abstract:
A computer includes an application system, a storage device and a basic input output system (BIOS). The application system can be respectively coupled to the storage device and the BIOS, set at least a multimedia file as a preset playing file according to an input instruction and store the preset playing file into the storage device. The application system can further generate a log file according to the input instruction and the storage position of the preset playing file, wherein the log file is sent to the BIOS. The BIOS has a file access module, so that the BIOS can acquire the preset playing file from the storage device according to the log file for playing during booting the computer.
Abstract:
A card fixing module for fixing a card is provided. The card fixing module comprises a housing, a card holder and an elastic element. The housing comprises an opening and a through hole, wherein the through hole corresponds to the opening. The card holder comprises a body portion, an abutting portion and a post, wherein the abutting portion is connected to the body portion, the post is connected to the body portion, the post passes through the through hole, the card holder is moved between a first position and a second position, and wherein when the card holder is in the first position, the abutting portion abuts the housing, and the card is received in the housing. The elastic element is telescoped on the post, an end of the elastic element contacts the housing, and the other end of the elastic element contacts the body portion, wherein the elastic element applies an elastic force to the card holder to move the card holder from the first position to the second position to push the card out of the opening.
Abstract:
A computer system is able to adopt a RAM module belonged to a first specification with a RAM slot belonged to a second specification. The computer system comprises: a RAM module belonged to the first specification, a RAM sot belonged to the second specification, and a RAM controller connected to the RAM slot. The data, derived from the RAM module and only existed in the first specification, is transmitted to the RAM controller via the N/A pins of the RAM slot when the RAM module is plugged in the RAM slot.
