    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may monitor, within an activation period for a control channel associated with the UE, for messages from a base station within first monitoring occasions defined by a first monitoring pattern. The UE may further monitor, after expiry of a timer associated with the first monitoring pattern, for messages from the base station within second monitoring occasions defined by a second monitoring pattern. In some aspects, the UE may receive, while monitoring within the first monitoring occasions, control information from the base station, and reset the timer associated with the first monitoring pattern. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may monitor, after expiry of a timer associated with the second monitoring pattern, for messages from the base station within third monitoring occasions defined by a third monitoring pattern.     Abstract: Idle discontinuous reception (I-DRX) cycles at a user equipment (UE) may be extended via leveraging of paging assistance from a second UE. For example, a low complexity UE may have a connection to a network (e.g., via a link to a base station) as well as a connection to another UE (e.g., via a device-to-device link to a regular UE). In cases where such a low complexity UE receives paging messages from the network, a UE associated with a device-to-device link of the low complexity UE may monitor paging messages on behalf of the low complexity UE. As such, the low complexity UE may extend its I-DRX cycle, as the assisting UE monitors paging information for the low complexity UE. The assisting UE may forward paging information for the low complexity UE according to paging occasions of the extended I-DRX cycle of the low complexity UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) flexibly prioritize between communication resources and measurement gaps to resolve collisions between communication resources and measurement gaps. For collisions between a dynamically scheduled communication resources and a measurement gap, a UE may communicate using the scheduled communication resource based on at least one of a time between reception of the downlink control message and a start of the measurement gap satisfying a first threshold duration or a second period of time between reception of the downlink control message and a start of the communication resource satisfying a second threshold duration. For collisions between periodic communication resources and periodic measurement gaps, a UE may either perform a measurement during the measurement gap or communicate using the communication resource based on a priority scheme associated with the measurement gap and the periodically scheduled communication resource.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity, such as a base station, may receive, from a first network entity, a broadcast indicating a downlink control channel transmission pattern associated with the first network entity. The network entity may monitor a plurality of receive beams for a plurality of downlink control channel transmissions from the first network entity according to the downlink control channel transmission pattern and may select a communication beam according to one or more cross-link interference (CLI) measurements associated with one or more of the plurality of receive beams in accordance with the monitoring. The network entity may communicate with a user equipment using the selected communication beam and a first set of resources that at least partially overlap in time and frequency with a scheduled communication at the first network entity. The network entity may experience or may cause the measured CLI.
